I think I might just get the better deal there

We know you are always serious, and we respond accordingly. You know I’m not being serious![]()
It was bad!Ohhh, that hurts.(wish I'd thought of it)

High output causing the amp to overdrive perhaps? Does it sound the same when you roll off the pots on the bass a bit?I play a Gibson Thunderbird with Thunderbuckers through and Ampeg SVT CL and 8 10s. Last night I was at band practice and my tone was extremely gritty sounding. Almost like I was using a distortion pedal. I have my tone knobs set in the middle except I give the mids a little bump. I have the master volume up and control volume with the gain knob. Any ideas? I bought my bass used and kind and of wonder if the wiring was changed ...
WOW!! That's actually very gratifying that they are the same price as they are over here.
Edit: it’s also good to know they sounded good enough to be worth paying the extra over the other two. I don’t suppose there is any chance when you get them hooked up you could plug the bass straight into a windows PC and use sound recorder to get a clean sound file of them so I can compare with the Mojos I’ve bought![]()
Maybe you've been abducted?..
I plan to, we’re off to Liverpool tomorrow and I’ll need some protection, that came up so quick, I didn’t feel it I just looked at my hand and there it was. I’ve hardly used these crutches either, just getting softSeriously @Christine ... fold a washcloth, wrap it around your crutch handle, then wrap the washcloth and handle with an ACE bandage. Your hands will thank you![]()

I could do that I think if someone could show me or instruct me on how to do it but there are a few videos in youtube on the Mike Lull T-birds with the same pickups, also 58T-bird right here in this thread has some live clips up played with a pick. The video on youtube really showed me the range of them though.
I will try that. The volume on the neck pickup won’t go down all the way. Not sure what that means. I bought the bass used so maybe it was tampered with.High output causing the amp to overdrive perhaps? Does it sound the same when you roll off the pots on the bass a bit?
Just plug the bass into the mike input on a pc and open sound recorder, have to search for that, used to be in accessories in Windows 7
I think with the raw sound I can plug into my amp and get a direct comparison with the Mojos
My 2013 used to do the same thing prior to a pickup swap. The neck pickup screw (on the E string side due to resting my thumb on it) would loosen bringing the pickup too close to the strings. It sounded inconsistent in volume and gritty.I will try that. The volume on the neck pickup won’t go down all the way. Not sure what that means. I bought the bass used so maybe it was tampered with.
Mine is a 2013 and has done it since I got a pickup swap.My 2013 used to do the same thing prior to a pickup swap. The neck pickup screw (on the E string side due to resting my thumb on it) would loosen bringing the pickup too close to the strings. It sounded inconsistent in volume and gritty.
Definitely sounds like the same thing. I dropped it off with a really good tech just now so hopefully he sorts it out.Mine is a 2013 and has done it since I got a pickup swap.Definitely sounds like the same thing. I dropped it off with a really good tech just now so hopefully he sorts it out.
