Thunderbird Club

I completely destroyed the remnants of an upright bass once. I got it for really, really cheap, because it was already trashed. It needed a bunch of things fixed, and I fixed them several times. Especially after the cat decided to climb it. And then climb it again after I fixed it. I guess he liked the ride back down. After a few rounds of that, and the plywood delaminating, it was pretty clear that it wasn't a musical instrument any more. So, my brother and I reduced it to matchsticks. It was not much of a waste, and it was a whole lot of fun.

Out of curiosity, has anyone ever smashed a guitar?

Ouch! What were you thinking? Trying to impress someone in the audience?
I thought everyone knew, the audience didn't like us and decided to try and kill us or at least half kill us so I lashed out. Everything stopped then, I got arrested but no charges as it was self defence with a lot of witnesses. I also gained a reputation that followed me around for the rest of my playing days back then and no one ever even tried to get up on our stage. That was possibly one of the scariest moments of my life and I've had a few. It was during the very early days of punk in the UK, we were a very raw band and the audience must have been expecting the bloody Osmonds or something

Looks more like a strat and you appear to start playing again...
