Actually that incident made the centre pages of the daily Mirror (entertainment pages back then), my parents were so upset as they made it sound as if we all just attacked the audience without provocation, it wasn't that long after the Pistols were on the Bill Grundy show

My respect for the people who make them daily has grown beyond recognition these last couple of months, they must be one of the hardest solid/semi solid guitars to make. Making me go grey!
I respectfully disagree. Logic would indicate that once they're smashed up, one is no better than the other
Also... we were discussing Townsend's "lost revenue" due to all the instruments that never achieved "vintage" status cuz he smashed 'em up. As you indicated... there was no Squier at the time...

WRT to smashed instruments - you are both correct. @theFixer is right that both are worth $0 when reduced to kindling. But @Chucky Stiletti is also correct in that the change in value is greater for the 7ender vs. the Squwar.
WRT vintage instruments - I will still say that his net worth is in part due to status as rock bad ass who smashes instruments and other gear.
(I think she was wondering about club members specifically
