I'm sure one of the more luthier-esque of this lot will be able to tell me why it is so hard to find small screws, in this case humbucker mounting ring screws (#2 x 9/16" phillips head) and pickguard screws (#3 x 3/8" ).
Yes, I know, order them online... I did. But are they that hard to find locally for anyone else? Home Depot & Lowes don't even come close. Smaller, local, mom & pop type hardware stores all had something close but not quite, either too long/ too short, slotted vs. phillips, right length/ wrong diameter, etc. (go ahead... get all the ahems out of your system, I'll wait... :roflmao:)
Are these just older, unpopular sizes? Just curious if anyone knows :)
I've had some luck with Fastenal. I see they have two stores in RI.
 
They are so difficult to get, if you can get the size the have the wrong head, if you want chrome they are in brass, I've given up with them I just order a load every now and then from a luthier supplies place in Spain of all places
they kinda have been making guitars for awhile...
