Well... I'm here to help if need be. It's a li'l better'na half hour north of me. I don't have the best eye... but at a glance, it looks pretty legit. If there's bondo in there, it wasn't recognizable at a glance. Sharp li'l buggy:thumbsup:

And I'm just the opposite. When I looked at the LPB25, I just wanted to see if my short fat fingers could get around the neck. I didn't even listen to it in the store. It fit, I bought. 0327181131-00.jpg

So I'm not the only one! My Les Paul 5er was my first 5 string and that's all the B was unless we played something in Eb. Then I'd finger the last note on the B. I'm still not entirely comfortable with a 5er, but I'm workin' on it.:bassist:

I'll jump in the speculation pool with the possibility that it was an employee build... and that he/she had customized the plastics, and didn't wanna let 'em go with the bass... (just spitballin')

Nice little pusher drop top with a back seat to boot. Price looks reasonable too.

If it were a turbo I'd be all over it!...

A buddy of mine in H.S. had one-dark metallic blue-set up like that. Ran like crazy, but every time he'd upshift from 2nd to 3rd, smoke came outta the defroster vents. Never did figger out why. We were goin' to lunch at BK in it when the news came that JFK was shot.

It's an air/oil cooled engine. No radiator to provide hot air to the defroster vents. Instead, as odd as it sounds, the exhaust manifold has a sheetmetal duct surrounding it that provides hot air from the outside surface of the exhaust manifold to the passenger compartment. If you have a cracked exhaust manifold or bad manifold gasket you're gonna get wonderful exhaust fumes into the passenger compartment via the air ducts.

Well, it was Miami, so if the top wasn't down, the windows was open-we never noticed an exhaust smell. Then again, we both smoked. We probly couldn't smell sh!t! EDIT: Good thing we didn't have that problem with my Dad's Bonanza!

I may be slightly biased... but I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest that the Thunderbird Club has the most awesomest knowledge base on the entire effing interweb:cool::thumbsup:
