Pellican makes cases that are intended for checking rifles into airline cargo holds, and that kind of case might work. I have a Pellican case for work stuff that I have to check on flights. You can get those cases with or without foam. They aren't even close to cheap, and you would probably spend more on the case than you spent on the bass guitar, but that's more a reflection on the price of the bass guitar than the price of the case.Anyone know where I can get a flight case for it? I'm flying to a blues festival in a couple weeks and would like to take it instead of the P-Bass.
[edit] A keyboard case would probably work, too. You would have to reconfigure the padding, but that's not too hard - old t-shirts work for all kinds of alternate uses for example.
