They booked a show at Hammersmith Odeon in '79. It was the last show of the tour, and it sold out in record time, so they booked a second, which sold out nearly as quickly... so they added a THIRD show... in the same night! This album feels like a normal live album, but they actually cut & pasted bits from the 3 different shows to make it. By the 3rd show, their voices where rashed to oblivion (so it's pretty easy to tell which tracks came from that one)... but it's a great example of the utter madness that reigned at a Nugent show back in the day! Absolute bombastic (and politic-free) mayem!!!

Found a bolt-on Epi 'Bird IV for $229 at the local GC. Looks beat, got dings and a crap-looking pickguard, but sounds really cool: deep, round, with a little "top". Feels like an old Matsumoku thing... I think I'm going to go put some bread down on it.

A "beat" Bird is better than no Bird at all-or 2 in a bush. I've had mine 46 years and it's gotten a few bumps and bruises. Still sounds great.

I played it a couple of weeks ago and thought it sounded really different from TB's I'd played and was glad to see that you found it unique too
Man... I'm doin' the same kinda thing. A local pawn shop has a Skwar Bronco bass that I could probably grab for 40bux. It's sportin' 3 strings & got a few donks on it, but with a li'l love, I could whip it into shape in a hurry... then see if I could find somebody who'd swap me an Epi EBO for it or sup'm. There's about a million other things I "oughta" do with that 40bux, but come ON... ya know...
