Thunderbird Club

Hah! I loved playing it - when it works you get sucked into it ... it takes everyone in the bands full commitment playing it - that's why is such a hard song to play right. I mean, this was Zep at their peak -
I was fortunate enough to see them at "Pirates World", which was an amusement/theme park in Dania Beach, FL,(between Hollywood and Ft. Lauderdale)in the early 70s.

A little yes but with a brighter red and with gold under it at the edges and maybe the back to create candy apple red and fade the red out towards the pickup slightly. Like this in essence but instead of black and tobacco it will be candy apple red and red

I know. I recently went to braided line and wasn’t able to position it the way it used to be. But it’s temporary, hopefully this winter I’m going to to go AN fittings, better placed fuel regulator, and a mounted, aluminum housing filter. Have yet to figured out how I’m going to plumb it all though.

No problem! It’s one of mine as well :roflmao:

Sorry about the dirty tires and ugly back tires… those are getting changed in a week or two :D:hyper:

I know I muck about a lot but seriously follow that advice or you could well be watching those shiny new tyres burn. Do something asap even if it's just some sort of clip to hang the filter clear, honestly petrol or gasoline whatever you call it and a hot sparky thing are a very poor mix. I spent 13 years with the North Wales Fire Service as a retained firefighter, this is stuff I know about hun, I've seen this very thing maybe once a year just in our small (rural) area

Finish-wise, a few drops of something spilled onto this body (the "natural" oil finish). Not quite sticky, but you can see and feel them. What's the best way to clean and care for the finish? My original plan if I won the auction was to paint this, but it's much prettier in reality than its ebay pics.
White spirit/turpentine substitute and maybe some 0000 wire wool will remove most sticky things from an oiled finish. It may need a little oiling afterwards but look at that as maintenance :)
