Thunderbird Club

View attachment 3120898 Just got home from what was essentially a biker party gig. (I was overdressed)
Got lots of compliments on my tone.
VP (with RS66s) > PF-50T > 2 x 210AVs kicks butt!
I thought the PF-50T might be underpowered in a rock setting, but it was great. The wireless and pedalboard also worked flawlessly.
Loving the VP! It is a blast riffing around 10-12th fret on the E&A strings, but it sings over the whole fingerboard.
I’m going to use it for some jazz stuff on a gig next Saturday.
Right on brother! Get out there and preach the word of the 'bird to the non-believers!:cool::thumbsup:

(anyone ever tell you ya look like Harrison Ford's kid brother?):)

That's a real and unbroken '76 in the hands of one of my Facebook friends. I don't know Jo yet but I'll be meeting and hearing her live today for the first time just a few miles from my home at The Bone Road Music Festival in Fenton, MI. She's the lead singer and bassist for her band, 86 Noodles. Should be fun!

Here's that tone we all know and love!

Yow! Awesome. There's always a place for a good power trio!
I hope they come to Austin. SXSW? I might be able to help get them a corporate gig during the week if they're here.

Looking forward to getting back home so I can ride the bike and stay on a strict keto diet. I’m putting on weight like I’m trying to win a contest at it or something :)

Roadtrips are tough that way.

In what caliber, though? I'm curious...
...
I have it on good authority that the supercomputer from "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" works at Gibson now. Just don't fold, spindle or mutilate your punch cards. You'll be fine.

I recycled all of my punch cards about five years ago. At least, I think I got them all.

"Layout" is the correct term for one's model RR empire, however large or small. One of the channels on the local cable system runs a show called "Steel Wheels" which features mostly UK train shows and display(operating)layouts. British Rail(if that's the right name) equipment looks really odd to us, esp. steam engines. Over here, most of the piping, etc., is on the outside of the boiler, making it look very "busy", while UK steam looks sorta "naked" with "the works" concealed.

The 3801 is the one that gets rolled out to all NSW Steam train functions. It does a run with passengers on those occasions. Maybe one day I’ll get aboard as well.

<dying!> I can't decide if this guy is a good actor, or just has no idea what he's spouting, because there is no way I could keep a straight face. (And I'm a pretty good actor.)
Have you ever seen the original?<EDIT>Pee b4 watching!

Some thoughts on the new bird I'm building for myself, it will probably be having a Satinwood fretboard (think ancient maple with aged nitro for colour). I want a transparent red finish on the front but I've been thinking maybe I could veneer the fronts of the body in some fort of quilted Maple then rather than bind them I could blend them into the rounding over then do a candy apple over the sides and maybe the back but over gold not silver do it's a sort of candy apple burst. How does that sound? I'm actually having a lot of difficulty visualising it, I can usually see these things clearly

I don’t really understand.
Do you mean like the Gibson Nikki Sixx Thunderbird?

Did you use the beam behind you to select the neck angle to hold the T’Bird?
