I just wish Ann could learn to really get into a song(she is beyond a doubt my favorite female rock singer)killer version! And love seeing the interwoven bands.

Hmm. Hiyooooo!(?)
Excellent pickup lads! Nice to know somebody's got my "six"HIYOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

It's an interesting song musically, but honestly hearing it once was enough. I never understood the appeal.
Hmm, "Fix's Six". Band name?Excellent pickup lads! Nice to know somebody's got my "six"![]()
<EDIT> my 2 other favorite female singers: Diana Krall and Doris Day.(Yeah, I'm old)I just wish Ann could learn to really get into a song(she is beyond a doubt my favorite female rock singer)
Yeah. Great vocals, but nothing even approaching the Plant stage energy.I just wish Ann could learn to really get into a song(she is beyond a doubt my favorite female rock singer)
Nah... everyone would be watchin' my arse all nightHmm, "Fix's Six". Band name?![]()
Being old school-or just old-I don't care about a lot of moving around on stage. Possibly partially due to the facts of (A) never having room, and (B), needing to be in front(back?)of the mic. For me, it's just "sing the damn song"Yeah. Great vocals, but nothing even approaching the Plant stage energy.
I saw them in their heyday (well, an encore, thanks to the stupid Omni[1]). She moved around some, but not as much as I had expected, given the energy of the songs (Black Dog and maybe Barracuda? I can't recall if I hear the latter inside the venue or out.)
[1] Biggest indoor arena in Atlanta. I got there 20-30 minutes late, and every outside door was locked, every ticket booth closed. Finally got a security guard to open a door. "No, not sold out, but no more ticket sales, and I'm not letting you in without a ticket. Sorry." So I sat down near the door where the music had seemed loudest and listened. Occasionally someone would leave early; I managed to get a rock in place to keep the door cracked (cops were just inside).
Most people left before the encore, but that's when I managed to get in. Missed most of the show, but nearly front row for the encore.
... I think they were discussing a musical selection, not your "workout regimen"...![]()

Allow me to rephrase:Oh hell, Haven’t been able to play that in ages. Lucky I still have my hearing to listen to it.![]()

I’d ask at my next Rhythm Rush practice, but it’s probably one of those things that you could spend a lot of time debating and coming to no useful conclusion.Since the first time I heard it, I've been trying to figure out the time signature. I have given up.![]()
Much better!
I can now sleep at night knowing that you aren't slowly working on accidentally flooding your electric alternator with a 20 gallon supply of gasoline. Hate to see all those years of hard work and the quality time with dad go up in smoke.
Now get that ride of yours all wound up and on a long straight stretch of open highway, roll you're windows down so you can hear every bit of sound from that engine and then crank up this tune as loud as you can take it...
My favorite song and bassline to play in a live setting!
Funny thing is, I've never played that song with a TBird. I've always used a Spector P/J or Fender Jazz for the song. But I'd bet it would be great with a TBird neck Humbucker full on and the bridge dialed up for clarity, all routed through an over driven amp. Dang, I got everything I need to do that and haven ever tried it. Maybe today if I get a chance. That boy needed a TBird.
I learned Let’s Dance recently. That’s a funky bass line and you can’t let your mind wander...True, I really like bass work until Let’s dance, and sound is to die for, you can always hear it.

I have a sorta (dis)advantage compared to a lot of you. For many years, all I had was a TBird, so Everything got played on it. From big band to kick-@$$ R&R. All onna 'Bird.Funny thing is, I've never played that song with a TBird. I've always used a Spector P/J or Fender Jazz for the song.
