Now you know why so many of mine are custom colors, Gibson is pretty damn stodgy when it comes to finishes on basses - Too bad they don't offer more, like for Les Pauls.

Yeah. There are 50 million colour options for the Les Paul, and the SG, to a lesser extent. Heck, the EB-0/1/3 at least get solid red & black options! lol
A gloss red t-bird would be killer!!

I'm glad Mark fielded that question. I'm not certain what would make the Studio 4 string remarkable but i do know that my Studio 5 is quite a bit heavier than my 2013 TBird IV. The body is a lot thicker on the Studio, but that B string is worth the extra weight. I love plucking it to Riot by Three Days Grace. It makes the house rumble and that makes me happy.

Thank you! My pickguard is mirrored and plastic (I believe). Custom made (sent my original pickguard to use as template) by Tony at Pickguardian Custom Pickguards. He has original templates
for Gibson T-Birds but needs something to go by (actual pickguard or paper tracing) for Epi TBirds. Very reasonable and great to work with.

Unfortunately I don't know the answer to either, if I said mirrored acrylic I'd be guessing. Thickness, again not really sure of exact answer but it is very comparable to
the original pickguard. Tony at Pickguardian (www.pickguardian.com) would probably be glad to answer those questions for you though. I just had it made last
October, he may remember me (Mark Ouellette).

Thanks, Marko. I Checked out his website. Very cool stuff. It looks like he makes his own "mirrored" stock from what I can gather.

Here's what it says about it:

Silver
Clear plexiglass with silver metallic paint on the back.

That would account for the difference I'm seeing in your mirrored PG compared to Rocker47's mirrored PG in the pics further back in the thread. I bet that would be a cool process with gold metallic paint as well.
