I don't think Dallas will mind if I try posting his images. His TBird is bad-ass!

Freaking awesome!

I was hoping Tbird1958 (our queen) could give insight

I was tempted by one at the beginning of the year, asking price was £175 for the sea foam green finish ( apparently rarer ) and the guy didn't seem fussed to get it down to about £150.
Only wanted it for mods though (became more trouble than it was worth) much like the Ripper Epiphone put out a few years back it's no different to a P/J Squier. Based on the other 2 I've seen sell in the past year £200 is a fair price the usual stuff pending like condition etc.

I love my T-Bird, here are just a few pics. Picked the white one after I saw it on television during a King's of Leon concert.

Bass porn...

My first sight of a white T-bird was Mott The Hoople's bass player - (Peter) Overend Watts - I later built up a white Epi Fenderbird, just because. Yours Gibson is very nice. A elegant balance of blk&wht. Rock it!

I don't recall which year Gibson disco'd Classic White - probably about 5 years back, so no new ones, you didn't miss anything!

Good. :D Well, not really. I went & looked at Gibson's current offerings. Not very enticing, really. :S It almost seems like they're trying too hard to push that new EB bass...the T-bird comes in 3 trans wood finish options only. :( Unless you want the shoreline gold 50th.

Now you know why so many of mine are custom colors, Gibson is pretty damn stodgy when it comes to finishes on basses - Too bad they don't offer more, like for Les Pauls.

Cool ad, but somewhat hypocritical. They are so proud of the 60s tie in and even mention the 76, but the bass is still just a good modern version not a historic or custom shop vintage reproduction. The Les Paul is great comparsion - hundreds of versions, modern and faithful 50s/60s reproductions. Heck, even the Firebird has many more flavors. If only Gibson would reimburse the 6-700 dollars it cost me to actually turn their anniversary into a more legitimate 60s tribute.
