Thunderbird Club

eBay? Depends if it's being sold as new. If so, then I'd feel good about the purchase as long as the person selling has a stellar rating and a loooooooong history of selling. If it's being sold as used then I'd say probably the right price but it would have to be minty.

...and congrats!

Long time club member, haven't posted to the thread in a long time. Just wanted to share a couple pics of my Epiphone Elitist in action.

Is there at reason why a 2013 ebony gibson thunderbird should sell new for $899 with case and candy? Why so cheap? Hope I didn't get ripped off - just pulled the trigger on it ... Hoping it was just a great deal.

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me...

There's an ebony 2005 Gibson Thunderbird with a small dent on the headstock in my local classifieds for $915, which I've been considering for a while - It does come with a hardcase, but the seller hasn't posted any pics and hasn't replied to my questions yet...

Would you guys consider that a good deal? And does anyone know how many have been made in ebony?

Guitar Center delivered this Arctic White Classic in 4 days from the day I purchased it. Only problem, the case did not show up with it.....oh well, I give em a kudos still. The bass was not close to being usable out of the box, but it was flawless and sounded clean. I took it home, slammed the bridge, 4 cranks on the truss (slowly over 2 days) and it is playing quite nice! Dead silent when it is supposed to be, rich Gibson T-Bird sound all other times. Its a keeper. I would be giging tonight with it if I had the case..... Oh and I finally got the bird back to match the tattoo.

I bought a Thunderbird Pro IV from GC a few months ago and a Goth yesterday that I'll modify slightly. My next one will be an Arctic White...they look too cool!

I believe the color name of the white Epiphone Classic Pro-IV is called Alpine White and not Arctic White...
Nice... How does it sound with flats instead of round wounds?
I put some on my Thunderbird Pro IV (Guild flats that were sitting in the store for years...someone said they're D'Addarios) and they feel great and
sound better.
I have a Goth T-Bird too, and I want to put Red Devils on it. Has anyone tried them on a T-Bird?
