It's not the same one unless you consider black an outrageous color ;)

A hundred bucks??? And you're glad u missed it??? Probably Wife related
Yeah, black is hardly exotic or outrageous. I may have been dreaming that one. They had some fantastic colors, and I would love to get my hands on a Plush amp like that in some sparkly color.

Yep, wife related. I push my luck enough as it is, but a hundred bucks would have been pretty easy to turn back around if there was the chance of getting the "look" for more than a few minutes.

i had to look up 'escutcheons' :bookworm: and yea, this whole setup is a good example of the carpet matching the drapes nicely.

I didn't have any luck getting the reverb going. I haven't had any alone time with this head, and i think the guy who gave us the keys said it does have issues ... damned if i can hear them :)

Are you guys complaining about ads on a desk/laptop or mobile? Cuz i only ever get one across the top on my phone (the only place i regularly use TB these days), and i don't use any ad blockers.
I know! I had to look up escutcheons too! Guess they teach better English in our colonies..

It’s funny that there is speed and intensity for the reverb:smug:

Ads are on my phone. Just now when I went put in the Smiley face, a realtor ad popped up. (Realtor =Used house salesman)

Yep, Kustoms and Kasinos were all SS. I was a fan of the less expensive, tolex covered Kasinos back in the early seventies as we has a dealer in our town. Never saw a Plush brand amp anywhere except in a magazine picture.

I remember seeing Plush amps occasionally around Augusta and Atlanta. but not a lot. Kustom was more common and less memorable, even to my teen ears.
I've had my eyes out for a working Plush I can afford for years. No luck.

See, now there's yer problem. I mean, Working and Affordable?:wideyed::smug:

My wife was restoring antiques for a while so I learned all kinds of old wordso_O
I know that word from installing them around plumbing supply pipes. Sometimes being a knuckle dragger makes you erudite. Who knew!

Here's a case I just ran across while looking for a case that would get my inspection stuff on and off airplanes without being destroyed. It's expensive, and at 50" inside, it might not be quite long enough, but maybe at an angle a 'Bird would fit. I think it's the longest one they make, but maybe they make a longer one. Pelican cases are just about as tough as you can get.

I watched the video and it's actually 52" inside. They also have the 1770, which is 54+" and deeper(also $160 more)<EDIT>also 1.5"wider

OK, then their spec on the website wasn't quite right. Not cheap at all, but if it keeps a 'Bird from being destroyed by baggage handlers, it's worth it. I have a couple Pelican cases that I use instead of ordinary suitcases since I have to carry all kinds of weird things on airplanes. TSA freaks at a tape measure, which means they really freak at things like calipers and some of the measuring contraptions I haul around for my job. I was using normal suitcases for a while, but those get busted up, and no matter how many "FRAGILE" signs you put on them, they get thrown around and slammed. So, serious cases are the way to go. Once a case like that is paid for, you will have it forever.

I sure am a pathetic geek, getting all excited about heavy duty plastic gear cases! It's even worse - mine are orange so they never, ever get mistaken for anybody else's luggage.
