OK, then their spec on the website wasn't quite right. Not cheap at all, but if it keeps a 'Bird from being destroyed by baggage handlers, it's worth it. I have a couple Pelican cases that I use instead of ordinary suitcases since I have to carry all kinds of weird things on airplanes. TSA freaks at a tape measure, which means they really freak at things like calipers and some of the measuring contraptions I haul around for my job. I was using normal suitcases for a while, but those get busted up, and no matter how many "FRAGILE" signs you put on them, they get thrown around and slammed. So, serious cases are the way to go. Once a case like that is paid for, you will have it forever.

I sure am a pathetic geek, getting all excited about heavy duty plastic gear cases! It's even worse - mine are orange so they never, ever get mistaken for anybody else's luggage.
The specs say 50.5" but the guy demonstrating says 52",recommending the wiggle room. It wouldn't ever be going on an airplane so I could live with that. I'm gonna look deeper into that. Maybe call or email them. I don't care about the weight either, just the protection.

This video of my Ghia engine popped up in FB “memories”

I don't see the video, I see this
Cannot load Facebook SDK. Disable any adblocker or tracking protection and try again

I don't get to see the video because I don't want facebook or anyone else following everything I do and selling that data, so I use tracking protection. I guess I might be something of a security/privacy nerd?

I know that word from installing them around plumbing supply pipes. Sometimes being a knuckle dragger makes you erudite. Who knew!

Here's a case I just ran across while looking for a case that would get my inspection stuff on and off airplanes without being destroyed. It's expensive, and at 50" inside, it might not be quite long enough, but maybe at an angle a 'Bird would fit. I think it's the longest one they make, but maybe they make a longer one. Pelican cases are just about as tough as you can get.

Pelican 1750 Case with Foam | Rifle Case | Long Gun Case

My math says interior size corner to corner is 52.14" which is about 52 1/7" for those that like fractions. But fitting in a bass is a bit more complicated than corner to corner length.

This one fit needs?

Are you guys complaining about ads on a desk/laptop or mobile? Cuz i only ever get one across the top on my phone (the only place i regularly use TB these days), and i don't use any ad blockers.[/QUOTE]

I guess some are bugged by the TB Store ads that have started to appear after a few posts on each page. I’m on iOS. I don’t really mind them...I actually clicked one to check out Spanish made RightOn straps. They look really nice. Might have to put one on my Christmas list. Considering the entertainment value of the site, I won’t complain about a few ads, but I can see how some might be annoyed...

For some reason, I'm not getting the video.o_O

I just don’t post info I wouldn’t want be public. I’m pretty sure you guys know what an air cooled VW engine with an aftermarket exhaust (not pea-shooters) sounds like, so here’s the image:

I have all the parts for a higher performance engine when I get to it...

Today it was annoying on my iPhone.

I'm still in the single mom dating sites camp, highly doubt i could keep up with a metal gal.

As a matter of fact, not sure i could keep up with a single mom.

Face it, you just don't want to do the work! :roflmao:

Then, neither do I!

and looked cool doing it. folks try and discredit him but what else than pedaling eights would have worked with that band? dunno. besides, his eights don't just land on the 1 or 4. he anchors from different spots. really like his approach...

This video breaks down what they feel makes Williams playing "genius". I don't know about the genius part but his playing was right for the music style and like many rock bassists, he was looked down on for playing "simple" lines.
