100Watt all tube. Reminds me of the Kustom stuff from back then although I could be wrong, don't think Kustom made any tube stuff..
AFAIK, Kustom was all SS. I was just told that Kustom actually sued Plush over the tuck & roll design, but don't know about the outcome. A few weeks ago i actually started a 'Plush brand' thread here to learn a bit more about them, and a (very) few TBers own them in various configurations > PLUSH brand

I'd love to put my early 70's V4B on top of that cab for a side by side test! :)

I read somewhere that some of those Plush cabs came loaded with Altec's.
But can't seem to find much info otherwise.

Funny you mention...by the end of the session I had jumped to this...

Reminds me of the stories about the number of refinishes Chris Squire had done to his wired for stereo 4001. I’m always casually looking for a Ric. But not at that price in that condition. I wonder how it plays. Hard to tell what the frets might be like. It must me pretty solid though. I wonder what its story is.
It dropped to $1600 this morning. (Which is still 2x what it should sell for IMO) It’s on Vancouver CL if anyone is interested. I’d be happy to scope it out - it’s close to my house.

Wonder what this setup sounds like...

There was a Plush head like that for sale locally for $100 a while back. It was already gone by the time I called about it. I was going to jump all over it - tuck 'n roll AND tubes. I think it was an outrageous color, like metal flake teal Naugahyde. Maybe not. I don't remember now. The fates and some other guy who got there quicker saved me from myself.

Since that one is in Seattle, I wonder if it's the same one.

yeah, looked around a little and they don't seem to stay "for sale" very long at all..

2nd last workday at home. Get the dressing removed this morning and then free to shower, shave etc without needing to keep the cut dry. Yay, small win but I’m happy

For sure. I always liked his playing - the long walks on the Chuck Berry tunes from Get Yer Yayas Out.
It was funny to see their expressions up close. Bobby Keys comes out at one point and nobody (except Charlie) even acknowledges him for a few songs or leaves space for his playing.

I like Williams' playing. He's like watching a carpenter put joists and other structural elements where they ought to go in the construction of a house.

I like both Bill W & Cliff W

Yep, Kustoms and Kasinos were all SS. I was a fan of the less expensive, tolex covered Kasinos back in the early seventies as we has a dealer in our town. Never saw a Plush brand amp anywhere except in a magazine picture.

I would like to hear the difference as you turn up the speed of the reverb:D
The porthole escutcheons are a nice touch!
i had to look up 'escutcheons' :bookworm: and yea, this whole setup is a good example of the carpet matching the drapes nicely.

I didn't have any luck getting the reverb going. I haven't had any alone time with this head, and i think the guy who gave us the keys said it does have issues ... damned if i can hear them :)

It's not the same one unless you consider black an outrageous color ;)

A hundred bucks??? And you're glad u missed it??? Probably Wife related
If anyone from TB is reading this, the ads are getting annoying!!
Are you guys complaining about ads on a desk/laptop or mobile? Cuz i only ever get one across the top on my phone (the only place i regularly use TB these days), and i don't use any ad blockers.
