New York is aggressive, but at least they are skillfull. In RI we get a lot of numb-headed, feckless drivers, entirely inconsiderate of traffic flow, or lacking understanding of why there is a thing called "procedure", that, if you practice, helps assure that miscommunications, etc ("accidents") don't happen.

Sick of it. I used to enjoy driving.

I did too. Hate it with a passion these days.
I only drive when i'm out in Jersey, running errands for my aunt.
And no way would i ever own a car here.

[grammar police] irregardless is not a word [/grammar police] I only point it out because of your policing yesterday :D

Those signs make absolutely no difference in Ontario. I will bet that the effect wears off. But the behaviour you describe is exactly what I see here. It appears to me that the problem is in policing. I regularly see cars with no brakelights (I don't mean one out; I mean none working), plenty of headlights not working, and many other infractions in front of police cars and nothing happens. Police only give tickets for speeding.

I'll end the rant here otherwise I will go on for pages.

Puh-leeeeezze... :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Of course it's a real word. I'm the grammar police and you will respect my authority!

I go from Stuart to the Orlando area 2-3 times a month. The quickest way is the Florida Turnpike(toll)/racetrack. I use it to Yeehaw Junction and take a 2 lane back road for about 40 out of 140 miles. More interesting and less stressful.

Like some of today's "drivers"!:jawdrop::wacky::help:
I'm looking forward to self-driving cars, mostly so the blistering idiots have mechanical chauffeurs and stop screwing up the works for the rest of us.

Rant on-
Wednesday, on the way home, I was making a left turn onto the street I live on. Some blistering idiot decided that pulling out of a parking space coming the other direction just as I was turning was a good idea. I had to slam on the brakes with the bike at an awkward angle and fell over avoiding him. No harm to me and a blemish on the stator cover was the entire amount of damage, but the #@$% looked me right in the eye as I was avoiding him, slowed to see what happened, then took off. Screw him. I hope his wife runs off with his dog. Then, there have been fender benders clogging up the road on the way in for the past two days. It's rain, people. It's rain after months of dry weather, which means slippery. Morons can't figure it out. Then later, they will figure it out and come to a complete stop because it's wet, never mind that the roads will be washed off by then and nowhere near as slippery.
Rant off

I can't wait until there are lots of self-driving cars and far fewer blobby dumpty pods dumptying around with blobby dumpties in control.

I had a cap explode in my Acoustic 126 combo when it was practically new. It was replaced under their warranty program, which was in full operation at the time. It made a lot of noise and a big mess inside the chassis. There's still little bits of that cap in there, more than 35 years later.
