Probably user, but it's a 2013 or 2014. Gibson didn't make 'em in 2012 unless there's something I don't know. I don't know lots of things, but GC doesn't know even more things.
I find it hard to believe Gibson made a bass with a schaller bridge
and grover tuners mounted unevenly in 2 groups with a big space between the E's and A's and then again between the D's and the G's. It looks like a poorly executed diy.

Saw Buddy Guy at the Austin City Limits Live taping tonight. Pretty well undone by everyone on that stage. And despite the lack of a Tbird, Orlando Wright owned the low end. Bass, dbx (160A?), and that GK rig.
If I believed in vampires, I'd say those guys owned half the musical mojo on the planet.

I think they did it that way so the A and D octave strings don't hit the E and G fundamental strings. It looks pretty close to the posts already.
Schaller is one of the very few, if not only, company that makes multi-string bass bridges.
If it is DIY, I think it was fairly well done. But from the size of the headstock, and the fact it still has the serial number leads me to think it may be factory.

or something that Gibson would try to sell, regardless of QC!:woot:

If it is factory, it's probably about the only one they made. Your point about the size of the headstock is well taken. I'll have to look at my EB to see what it looks like. I don't believe its headstock is quite that big. I bet it sounds amazing, what with the set maple neck, ash body, and DiCola pickups.

It is a 2013 for sure, not a 2012, unless it's some kind of one-off prototype. The ugly salami pickguard is a giveaway, as is the pickguard location of the output jack.
