Gibson Ripper Four-String Bass Natural 1975
This! One of my fav’s as well, I also want a Grabber, the one with the adjustable pickup? I’ll take a Explorer bass too please.

Grabber? Like this '75?

Nah, you wouldn't like it. Side dots and face dots are white and almost impossible to see on maple. Besides, you have to move the pickup by hand!

yeah no FSO's and an Orange amp as well!
Looks like the new Terror Bass Amp...

I love TI Super Alloy's on my '64. Every time I play it out I keep thinking about how incredible it sounds. I really enjoy hearing that bass. A lot. So, I just put some GHS Pressurewounds on my '76/77 Bird. I think this is going to be a good match. I love the feel and play-ability more than before. I had TI flats on it as was happy, but the last time I played it out a week or so ago I wanted more of the magic I get from the '64. With the PWs having the same Alloy 52 I'm thinking it might be a match made in sonic heaven. We'll see in a week or so, but sure sounds good at home.

Be sure to report back. We love a good string experiment. We love a bad string experiment as well.

I was s'posed to be getting one for Father's Day........still waiting....................................

Was a year specified?

T-Bird making a return in my home after a couple years absence :-).

To this day, the only bass I regret parting with is my white Classic Pro IV with black pickguard, sold to a kid in St-Jerome who, like me, fell in love instantly. Saw this bird in a local shop and couldn't resist renting her for the next month. Also my 1st active bass. I don't use pedal format preamps anymore, so this makes a bit of sense.

Yorkville Thunderbird case... Must be Canadian.

I miss my Bird... the feel, and pretty much the sound. It wasn't a true-blue original one, it was an Epi Blackbird, so no Thunderbuckers... but it felt good and I liked the mods I did to it. But when I swapped necks I think I nixed its mojo. Sold it...
I'm keeping my antennas out...
Are we going to have to harass you like we did @JJR58 ? ;)
