Disagree. The only reason anyone curls is to drink and smoke. You can drink and smoke without the curling. It’s one of those sports that’s fun to play, but boring to watch.... unless it’s the Olympics... then it can get pretty heated

It tried playing once not long ago and it's definitely not as easy as it looks, the folks sweeping get a serious work out...it just looks really goofy..It’s one of those sports that’s fun to play, but boring to watch.... unless it’s the Olympics... then it can get pretty heated

Gibby Tbird 120th Anniversary Ed.
A hockey fan in Florida? Are you a northern transplant?
They both sit against the body. It's really personal preference. I use the Hipshot. Not so much because I love the aesthetics, but I love the adjustability of their saddles. I like to narrow the string spacing as much as possible and they allow that. The Babicz does not. I've used Hipshot's type A and B bridges on another bass that they're also great. So is the company. I have no personal experience with Babicz. This has probably been answered but I tried searching and couldn't find anything. Can anyone give me any input on the babicz 3 point bridges that gibson was using vs the hipshot replacement 3 point bridge?
I have not used a Hipshot because I do not like the way they look. It is a shallow thing. This has probably been answered but I tried searching and couldn't find anything. Can anyone give me any input on the babicz 3 point bridges that gibson was using vs the hipshot replacement 3 point bridge?
If we're sheltered enough, maybe. Oh, the low tomorrow night is s'posed to be 66. FL in "winter".I pretty much just ignore the rest of Talkbass, this thread is where 99% of the action is. The bird brains are a pretty polite open minded group, willing (and frequently able) to stray off the path but stay out of the weeds and mud.
This club is by far the best sandbox on Talkbass and I think we owe that to our very open minded Queen who pretty much lets us play plenty loose but not too rough with each other.
On rare occasion I'll wander off to another sandbox but almost inevitably someone starts throwing sand.
Cool Tbird sighting:
This a danceband called Jungle. The bassplayer is playing a nice Tbird and showing off some very nice tones that most don't associate with it.
South Florida was once part of the northeastern US until the cataclysmic event that drove Atlantis underwater and shifted the whole eastern seaboard. So all south Floridians are actually yankees.
