Thunderbird Club

As the Earl of a minor fief in this realm, I find that doing as I'm told is a good policy. Bringing the wrath of the Queen down upon one's head means being condemned to a week of FSO and tort. It's an awful fate!

Do as your told, that's no fun. Uh, well, maybe it depends on what your told to do.

I'm probably not even quite an Earl. More likely a princeling in charge of a potato patch. I gotta say that potaoes are easy to grow and taste great when they are freshly dug up. They have a whole lot more flavor when they just came out of the ground, and I don't mean just that lovely earthy taste of dirt residue.

Aaaand we are off! Onto another tangent! Vegetables!

Call any vegetable...............

Since our space heater in our rehearsal space did its best to kill the band and was foiled in its attempt to become a bomb, we rehearsed at the studio our first gig will be at in moderately early mid central February on their main stage. The band was telling me I only needed one cab as there was PA.

I wasn't hearing that nonsense. The best part of stages is making them vibrate. Afterwards they admitted they loved it. Its a LOT of fun to be loud. And wireless.
Love it, and yes. Which wireless?

Great. The bass player / vegetable thing. And potatoes at that. Are you the Earl of Stereotypes?

I know, but imagine how cool you would look!:p
I'll be in the right rear corner so nobody'll notice, but I think this is cool enough 20180603153130.jpg and not a FSO:cool:

I'm not Haji, but I have been using a Shure digital wireless for a number of years now. I don't remember what it cost. A lot, as I recall. It's rechargeable, which is why I really wanted the one I got, plus it doubles as a tuning pedal. I don't even remember how long ago I got it. Four or five years? maybe more. It hasn't missed a beat during that time, and I use it at least once per week, usually two times a week. When I was playing a lot of shows, it would get used four or five times a week on occasion. The battery in the transmitter lasts long enough that I have never had a problem, even after playing for hours and then forgetting to plug it in before the next time I needed it to go for hours.

The best part is that it doesn't wrap around my leg when I bounce around the stage, spin the upright, or get over energetic in some other way. Plus, I can wander off stage while still playing. That's fun, too.

Good point. I didn't have him use nitro on my finishes. Check with him, and if he doesn't do nitro I'd bet he knows someone who does.
Maybe Pat wilkensen does nitro. He did a great job on one of my non nitro builds.
Then there is these guys...

I think all they do is nitro. Never used them but the gallery of work they've done looks impressive.

I will check with him, hopefully he does. Wilkins I believe uses poly as well, at least based on turn around. I did check Bad Mojo, very good stuff, but unfortunately, like MJT, don't offer a factory fresh finish, their closest being Clean Unaged, which is meant to look like an unplayed 50 year old instrument.
"It will be about as clean as a vintage instrument can be. Our finishes are meant to look like they have been around for 50 plus years. We do not do factory clean finishes. "
But that might be what I go with, it seems nitro finishers are real into some sort of aging.

Side question if any one has any info that'd be awesome. If not it's all good too.

I've got a chance to either pick up a peavey TKO 65, mid 80's model. Or The Tko 115s sheffield 90's model. I'm familiar & have played the 115 s countless times with my band & it's nice & defined even for a 15" speaker. Also read its the series that replaced the 65 afterwards.

I guess i might be answering my own question of which i should get...Familiar territory rather than something just for the sake of it.
