Did you try searching? I kid!

When I was looking at swapping out the 3 point bridge, I spent a bunch of time comparing Babicz and Hipshot. From my reading (I never did an A/B test) it appeared that from a features point of view, the two were about equal (string height, string spacing, intonation etc.). It also appeared that both provided the improvements I was looking for. Then there are a number of places that argue one over the other, but it struck me that a lot of the preference was opinion. SO, I ended up opting for the Hipshot primarily because I could buy direct and many had great things to say about their customer service (which I eventually experienced first hand and it was spectacular).

I will offer the caution with the Babicz that @bylar13 has discovered that doing windmills with one installed can be a bloody great experience...

Pillo, with his medical background LIKES to see blood.....

Nine stitches=No more windmills.

As for the Babicz, I am a fan. To my ear, it helps with sustain and is super easy to set up. No science was used in the forming my opinions.

Side question if any one has any info that'd be awesome. If not it's all good too.

I've got a chance to either pick up a peavey TKO 65, mid 80's model. Or The Tko 115s sheffield 90's model. I'm familiar & have played the 115 s countless times with my band & it's nice & defined even for a 15" speaker. Also read its the series that replaced the 65 afterwards.

I guess i might be answering my own question of which i should get...Familiar territory rather than something just for the sake of it.
I used the TKO 115 with a heavy handed punk drummer and a guitarist with a Mesa Dual Rectifier going thru a 412 cab and It was all good!

...As I was procrastinating on dropping $800 bucks for vanities sake, I found my current T-Bird (2014, Heritage Cherry) popped up at a Guitar Center for $899. I pulled the trigger knowing I could return it if I did not care for it. Turns out I loved the neck, felt a good bit slimmer than the 2006. I swapped all the hardware over and sold the 2006 for $850.

$49 paint job and a neck shaving, all for $49. Not bad! drool

If I had the cash I would not hesitate to have one re-done. I have never cared for the modern, sunburst, T-bird finish.

I like the modern burst, but would still rather have a bright color. Some day.

Happy New Year everyone!

I’m super excited to NOT have a NYE gig tonight! Netflix and red wine with the girl will be my party tonight and I’m thrilled :)

No gig, no parties, just my wife and a movie and some food and drink at home. Some years it's rowdy. This year it's not. And that's perfect.

Enjoy whatever you do!

Born/raised in Miami. I got into Hockey in the early '60s when NBC did one(1!)game a week. And, yes, best, most exciting game ever.:hyper:
I should clarify a bit. I actually went to a few Kings games before Gretzky. Once he arrived, ticket prices went through the roof. It can be pretty exciting live, but to me is unwatchable on TV. Even on a modern big screen. But I get the fascination for those you grew up playing it.
