+1 on the G30. I like mine. But get a neoprene case for it. The battery door is pretty flimsy.I use a Line6 G30. The only time I’ve had issues was when I was 3ft from a high power access point (in my house).

Unless you care about string spacing, I think the answer to Babicz vs. Hipshot is aesthetics.
Nothing wrong with shallow...I have not used a Hipshot because I do not like the way they look. It is a shallow thing.
Three point bridges work just fine but are a bit fiddly to set up. The saddles fall out if you don't have strings holding them down, and the inserts can pull out under certain circumstances. Once set up, they are rock solid for intonation and stability.
Babicz bridges are a whole lot more adjustable. Instead of being made with the fretboard shape integral like a three point, each string is adjustable for height. The intonation mechanism is clever. I like it a lot, and I find it easier to set up. In the end, it is not much more stable than a well set up three point. I do not find that a Babicz makes much difference in sustain. This is purely subjective because I never timed it.
I think string spacing may be adjustable with a Hipshot. Jeff or somebody else who has one will have to say for sure.
I got along fine with three points for a long time. They are a huge improvement over the old Gibson two point bridge. The three points on my Gibson Thunderbirds are all Babicz now, mostly because I can. They are a bit easier to set up and I like the way they look. It is a shallow thing. I also have no urge to alter the string spacing, just height and intonation.
Yup - I use a Levy’s MM4.+1 on the G30. I like mine. But get a neoprene case for it. The battery door is pretty flimsy.
Me too. Easy for us to say since we won’t be doing the lifting...I vote 360
Happy new year!Happy New Year Gentlemen!
I’m off to sound check, more soon
Just stack ‘em to the ceiling. If only i'd have space in my room for both xD I think the 115 will be beneficial. The headphone input is a nice feature & since it's loud enough for a gig, it's easier to load in cars during shows.
No, only the Hipshot does. As far as I know, they use the same great saddles in all their bridges. The Hipshot does string spacing. I was under the impression that the Babicz did also.
I used the TKO 115 with a heavy handed punk drummer and a guitarist with a Mesa Dual Rectifier going thru a 412 cab and It was all good!

RS Guitar Works has my vote. Small town shop but they've done work for people everyone would know, including some R&R Hall of Famers. I've found them very friendly and helpful in conversations on a couple basses. Considering having them do a refinish on a '55 Pbass (that has a worn out refinish from years ago).Any of y'all got good recommendations for good Nitro refinishers? I've been contemplating doing it myself, but I don't really have the space or gear currently to do it myself. I contacted Johnk_10 since he's close by, but unfortunately he doesn't do set neck instruments of this size. So then I contacted MJT, but they only do finishes with some level of aging and I want it looking fresh so I can beat it to hell over the years. Waiting to hear back from RS Guitarworks, but is there anyone else y'all'd recommend?

Enjoy! I just learned about this and it sounds really fun: Invalid Link Removed
Which would give you gas(ser).Speaking as somewhat of a car guy, this statement gives me the willies! (Not the Willys.)
That Teiscobird is smokin hot!Leaving soon to set-up for a NYE gig (first band up). Playing most of the set on my recently acquired '68 Custom Kraft "Bone Buzzer" and ending with my Teiscobird - (has a Hipshot drop-D) Happy New Years Eve y'all !![]()

I dunno about 360’s but I don’t find my 301 too heavy, cause it’s mostly empty space, just one speaker.Me too. Easy for us to say since we won’t be doing the lifting...
One thing that I don’t like about it, that also bugs me about the Studios is the rounded edges. It makes it look mellower, not as badass. To take the old year out with a bang, there's this custom Thunderbird vintage masterpiece...
Ribbecke Bass 1982 Vintage Custom Thunderbird Bass Very Very Rare 1 of 4
Supposedly Alembic quality, definitely Alembic price. I'd jump on it for half the price.
Line 6 G30. I have two basses for this gig, one standard and one Eb. I have a transmitter for each, so changing is just turning one off, turning the other on.Love it, and yes. Which wireless?
