Sooo much free time to play bass when you kick the talkbass habit....

When you join a thread by the ‘watch thread’ button, it presents you with two options... either to receive notifications by email, or not.

It’s good when you’re participating in an active conversation.... and you only get one email until you visit the thread again... but I guess if it doesn’t see you for awhile it tries to prompt you to come take a look... just funny more than anything.

More like arguing with myself as to whether it's justifiable to put a $300-$400 neck on an $800 bass.

That’s a perfectly valid argument to have with ones self! I kinda went through it with my ‘02 Gibson ‘Bird. Paid $900 or so for the bass, shipped. Two Lollars, Hipshot bridge and tuners added another aprox $600 to that. The upside is it gets played more than any of my other basses and now that it’s done, I wouldn’t change a thing

That's totally worth it. In the end, I'll have put in a decent amount of money into my RNR, but as someone said to me, I'm getting practically a brand new bass out of it. I just hope I like playing it after all this wait.
