Thunderbird Club

If I were to think about it, I would have figured something like this exists - but seeing it is kind of unbelievable. I remember hearing a radio program years ago about eventual home-based holograms and the promoter of them was saying; "yes, just imagine - two prize-fighters in the room, duking it out right in front of you!" ... ahh... I don't think it will be two prize-fighters in your living-room..."
Weird and slightly creepy Japanese stuff is still just weird and slightly creepy Japanese stuff no matter what you pay for it. And, as long as there's Japan, there will be weird and slightly creepy Japanese stuff.

Hey guys. I love you all but I have decided to sell my Gibson Thunderbird. It is such a sweet bass and deserves to be rocked. I am branching out into guitar, no longer in my metal band, and she is not getting played...

For Sale - Modified Gibson Thunderbird
That's way too nice a bass to stay in the closet. I hope your guitar is a Firebird!

That Moogerfooger is about the same price as a Miku and possibly a better use of your money.
Absolutely a better use of money. You would use it more than once before it irritated the snot out of you and made you put it in a dark corner, never to be seen again.

'Get a dog' is only the first part of the sentence. The most succinct and polite conclusion is 'up ya'.

Mark knows a few Australians and presumably got the joke. If not, well Sagan was only messing.
Ah. Cultural details I had no inkling of. The TB club isn't just about 'Birds, it's also about international eticate.

pretty intense line of work...knew a navy diver from Oklahoma (went by Duke) that had always wanted to be a singer but never really had what it takes....after 6 tours of Vietnam (crazy fvcker) he started working in Bahrein doing welding on oil rig related stuff and made an absolute fortune.....then he bought his own bar (called Duke's of course) in a ritzy marina on the Costa del Sol called Puerto Banus and used to hire top talent from Vegas as his backing outfit. The band would play all night and Duke would get up and do to or three Sinatra songs per night...
In his mind....he made it....cool story......that said, all that narcosis must have gotten to him because he was plain nuts...6'4" from Oklahoma in southern Spain riding around on a Road King....they LOVED him...
I've known several Navy divers, we're all a little nuts. Takes one to know one I guess.

ooooo, good time for something completely different/random. More so for V.
Enticement to come to NY. I know it won't work.

Always at the forefront of technology, though. I'm really curious what they'll replace helium with, if possible.
they won't. cost of helium vs any other inner gas will prevent that from happening. Remember it has to be comparable with human lungs. Helium works perfect, except for the funny voice and the radios have a knob for that, still takes time to understand the person.

It doesn't work very well. I have heard one. It's more of a synth novelty thing that's useless unless you are making electronic noises.

As a person who spends way too many hours a day making electronic noises, I wouldn’t touch that pedal!

I was kinda wondering if Hank was still around. He hasn't turned up as an irritant for a while. I figured he had run off with the Circus or you decided he was OK. Neither is true, apparently. Meaning all's well.

I think me and Hank have come to an understanding. Jamie loves him, so kind of moot point what I think about him anyway.
He’s two and a half now and gets to go outside whenever he wants. That’s made him a much better cat. He’s even occasionally not a total d!ck these days. Bonus.
Ok, that’s more cat talk than I can handle :)

Nah, I would build it into an FSO and give it to the Duke's friend to give to him as a surprise gift.

Oddly, just this morning he asked me what I thought of Harmony H22’s. Weird we were just talking about that bass here a couple days ago!
