I have no idea, don't even know how we got it aside from ordering it from a gas company. Our deep dive jobs we would have several banks of Helium, Nitox and O2, al was medical grade.

I would go from the bar to the shop, get on a bus and the buss would take us to the dock. The dock might be in Brownsville TX to Mobile Alabama or anywhere in-between. Often the hang over was rolling hard by the time we got to the barge and I would go directly to the chambers and crash in an outer lock with the O2 mask strapped on, it helped. most of the time I could do that because as I was part of the dive team we weren't working yet, mostly under tow still. The dive team worked job completion while riggers would work two weeks on one off. Yeah, seems helium is running out. And its most common use is for cooling MRI machines. And they still don't seem to have any replacement for it. I think the US government currently has the largest supply in the world, in Texas.
Since I have DAN first aid certification for professional divers, I can legally get medical-grade oxygen fills anywhere. So I've got that going for me.

That might be a different supply, or maybe its the same supply but they have additional filtering for med grade. idk
AAAAAHHHHH!!!! You were *there*? I'm kinda jelly. One of the best rock albums of all time. I could never pick just one, but this has consistently been in my top ten since it released, even though my top ten morphs over time.
Speaking of which, I was really super dissapointed with the Cliff House last time I ate there (probably 5 years ago). It was like eating in a hospital operating room. Everything stark white, bright, sterile and stainless steel. They completely destroyed the ambiance and warmth they used to have.
I told the wife, if we ever return (which I seriously doubt we ever will, unless they change) that we'd get completely dressed up in surgical scrubs, right down to the silicone gloves, face masks, gowns, hair nets and booties. Then splatter some fake blood around our outfits and show up at the front desk for our dinner reservations. We'd order steaks super rare and slice them with scalpels. In any other city we'd be kicked out, but in SF I'm not sure anyone would notice.

New guitarist did okay for the first time. Had some interesting things going on with the Obscura delay and the occasional monster slab of Green Russian. She's coming over later in the week for a session with me to work through things. Has a black Epi Les Paul which does the job and looks the part.
