Everywhere I have seen a halon extinguisher, Dire Warnings were present.

Early forgot, this is for @BklynKen from a gig the other night. Clip on tuner and about a dozen bass solos. Pure torture
Short answer; because it is heavy, it settles. So, it displaces the oxygen at the level of the fuel and stops the burning.

Much more concrete, aspirin would likely not be approved by FDA today due to the risk of bleeding. For that matter, nor would Penicillin G (the original penicillin) for adulterants in the manufacturing process.
But given the choice between burning alive and long term health risk, I'll take the long term health risk.
Well, at least the solos were in tune. Were they nice long solos - 32 bars or more in 32nd notes? Nothing says groove like 1024 notes in 60 seconds...

I don’t really enjoy good bass solos that much...not sure what this dude was thinking.
Sheesh, left for a gig in Atlanta yesterday at 1pm. It’s 6:19am and I just stepped into my house. It really ain’t all glamour!

J bass was it? (testing a theory)
There are a number of players that can do a very good and tasteful bass solo. IMHO they tend to be shorter and tend to be extensions of the groove. I'm thinking solos like Deacon's in Dragon Attack. And as much as I want to hate Billy Sheehan, his playing in Winery Dogs is great grooving and his solos are sort and simple.
What I really hate is the guys trying to do Eddie Van Halen on bass. Actually, for that matter, I really hate the guys trying to do Eddie Van Halen on guitar. Actually, I'm tired of Eddie Van Halen too. To my mind, Polonius had it right - brevity is the soul of wit. If you can't get to the point in 12-16 bars, you don't have anything of interest.
Living the rock star lifestyle... Any travel for business is not glamorous despite people thinking otherwise.

At reggae gigs, during a tune someone will call out "Drum an' bass!!". The band stops, and 'drummie' and I will hold it down solo for a few bars... just hanging on the groove of whatever tune we're in, staying deep, no leaving the building. It's an effective trick, to pare a tune down like that to its elements from out of nowhere.
Calling out "Riddim!!" means keys and guitar, the 'top' of the rhythm section, play a turn solo... drums out, the bottom is gone- just skanky, up-stroke chop, almost like wallpaper without the wall. Maybe a hit of delay or similar from the guitar to tail off over the top of the steady *chop of the rhythm...it's all about the pocket, like the old Studio One dub-style recordings: Lee Perry, King Tubby, etc. Fun to do live.
But no extended wankery.

Wankery is so 80s. Don't care for it. Although I like my politics separate from my music, I do like U2. And it is primarily because they all play right in the pocket. Even the Edge with all his delays and effects, he keeps everything right in the pocket - a talent demonstrated by too few guitar players. And I like Slash's solos - he gets more done with one note (ok, with a wah) than EVH does with 64.
I'm gonna take a stab and say Smiths Ol' Bar.
