View attachment 3340488 View attachment 3340481 Had my main stage Thunderbird a '66 nonreverse beater on the bench for a going over. For those of you who don't know the story of this bass it came to me as a real basket case. The list includes failed replaced headstock, caved in control cavity, extra holes for switches, Dimarzio Model One, Bill Lawrence hacked into the bridge position, Badass bridge and no Gibson parts. I bought it to semi retire my main bass a '68 Thunderbird I have owned since '77.
The '66 has now been with me 10 years now! The replaced headstock is maple, when I redid the scarf joint I shot the back of the neck in red brown background color and then coats of tinted toner to blend it in. Ten years of playing had worn the finish down to the base coat. Other things to address like fillingthe holes from the Badass bridge, stripped screw in the tail piece.

Crazy long, but fun day today. Had a full 8 hour session producing and playing bass for artist Adrian + Meredith. Headed straight from the studio to a gig with Mike Lynch. First show with him. Awesome kid, great singer, writer and guitarist. We decided to go for a drink at a nearby place after and the Slowbeats happened to be playing there. Slowbeats feature super picker Kenny Vaughn (Lucinda Williams, Marty Stuart, A list session dude.) and Dave Roe on bass. His resume’ includes, Jerry Reed, Dotty West, Johnny Cash, Dwight Yoakam, John Mellencamp, Pretenders, Dan Auerbach. Just has a resume’ few can dare to dream of and he’s a sweet dude and old pal.

Dave told me he loves seeing me use a T Bird on country gigs

Man I'm bad. I've been waffling over selling/not selling my ACC 370... just pulled it again. It's the representative element of my time of comeuppance, as it were, and the era I still hold as my inspiration... I guess.
Just have a motley pile of cool old-ish stuff, and a kid who needs down payments for college stuff. I have a pretty decent job, but too much stuff just crowds my head anyway. I don't play much music I really give a sh!t about and get bored, put my attention on "gear". Need to fix that.
Anyway, I figure the 370 and a couple old Peavey cabs will be adequate for mojo and something I can deliver through.
Ok, nevermind, please carry on...

If you go looking for it on the Epiphone website, you will find it under out of production

I can't recall the years of production, but I am confident that the last ones are 5+ years old now. Ebay and reverb are the places to look. But, they seem to come up for sale infrequently; not sure if that is because there are very few of them or because those that own them aren't selling.

Keep the 370! Sell the cabs if you must. I have put a ACC rig together for my Zeppelin tribute. It's not a 360 but it's little brother the 150b paired with a 406 cab. For 150w it's wicked loud!

You all know my opinions about ACC rigs.

For what it is worth, a 361 Power Plus cabinet was rated at 200 watts. That was apparently enough.
