My other TB hangout is the FX forum, mainly for reading and occasional smartarsery. Have to say that FX is often exhausting to read. Thunderbird Club much less so. Carry on.

We don't have near the incomprehensible thicket of models and names they have. The amps & cabinets forum is worse. It's exhausting just to look at thread titles. There's more alphanumeric stuff there than any sane person should be subjected to.

We put a mic at the top of the stairs for a (hopefully) cool ambient thing

My brother described a drummer he played with as sounding like a pallet of bricks falling down a stairwell. I was kinda hoping there were bricks involved in the stair. Drumming like a pallet of bricks falling down a stairwell is the holy grail of drumming I can only aspire to.

There is a homeopath trying to kill me. He has poisoned the water. The police tested it and it contains only water. Proof right there!

I suspect one side of that particular conflict is also resistant to other scientific evidence. You have to hope they never fly anywhere, the cognitive dissonance could be fatal.

In Augusta, GA, at Daniel Field (the private airfield frequented by Masters players in the spring), someone owned a Mustang. We occasionally see him take off; he'd do rolls and loops as soon as he could after takeoff; always a breath-taking joy to watch (and hear). But one day he buzzed the VA golf course nearby (this would have been in the 69-71 time frame). A couple of vets playing the course flashed back to being under attack and hit the dirt. One of them had a mild heart attack. Never saw that plane fly again, and it was gone before too long. Probably sold, possibly moved far away; we heard the pilot had a lifetime ban from flying in the USA.
