Lol, okay, I'm done...
I never understood why she didn’t or hasn’t sold more records. Like Cheryl Crow, she was a Rolling Stone darling in the nineties. She puts on a great show, although her voice gets a little off at times when she’s live. She’s an extremely talented writer and I, for one, like her guitar playing. Some don’t like her politics, maybe that’s one reason? Anyway, she’s been touring a lot the last few years and is on a short one now... good to see her get some notice here.

I have suprised people by singing Paranoid when I was cajoled into Karaoke.
I would do Only the Lonely if they can transpose it to C or D. Maybe. Maybe not. I would have to be stone cold sober. There's no chance I can do it in F, which is what Roy Orbison did.

I don't hang out in karaoke bars, so problem solved.

I just spoke to a "songwriter" who plays no instruments and did not know what the structure of any of her songs was. This will end well, no doubt.

One of the challenges we had with the previous incumbent was an apparent inability to distinguish different parts of a song, resulting in missed cues and all sorts of other fun. This necessitated the creation of bass'n'drums demos with a posh lady track, barking 'verse .... bridge, instrumental ....'

Much easier if you can say 'the verse is the E riff, the A is a bridge section and the chorus is D and C'.

Looks like Vince...

I’ve never been in a Karaoke bar, but for a party last year I set up a small PA in my living room and played YouTube Karaoke songs on my home theatre system. I searched Black Sabbath and there it was:p

Yeah you need someone with some musical skills!

You'd think being able to hold a tune would be a minimum for people putting themselves forward. Suppose those interminable telly singing competitions are evidence to the contrary.

Brought to you by people who grew up on the Gong Show and thought Chuck Barris was bringing high culture to the world...
