i keep going back to Lou Reed. How can you argue with Aynsley, Bruce, Wagner and Hunter?
And some Brecker Bothers.
I appreciate the effort and sacrifices.Doing my best![]()
I miss the Goth I had, wonky neck and all. I keep looking for a good buy on one...So there's a Goth nearby for $150 (w/practice amp, but I never use one), and a Cassic Pro for $375 a little ways north...
I could do it...
God I love that album.
The old school label gun labels are cool.Got my mobile rig all wired up and tested. The mic preamp casing ain’t pretty to look at, but it sounds nice!

I talked to the guy who built the pre amps. They’re in fact a 1:1 replica of API 512A mic amps. Not super common as a stand-alone pre, but that’s the pre that came in every API console from 1968-1974 or thereabouts, before the original owner was bought out. When he left, all the techs and designers went with him.
I deeply regret getting a 13” MacBook Pro...such a tiny screen is frustrating!
Can’t wait to use this on Sunday!
Nor should you be. I love mine.

Grind?
The guy who made it has a twisted sense of humor...
GRIND= gain
FLIP= phase reverse
GHOST= phantom power
Don't know whether to do the cheap Goth(no neck dots, yes), the nicer, neck-thru, more trad Classic Pro, or just hold out.So there's a Goth nearby for $150 (w/practice amp, but I never use one), and a Cassic Pro for $375 a little ways north...

Obviously. Still ... Case is good -- no one's going to think that's a primo piece of kit and lift it while you're looking the other way.
No ones ever gonna have the chance to lift it. My recording rig is somewhat humble, but I have well over $10k wrapped up in it so far. At this point in life, that’s a lot of dough for a lowly bass player![]()
