I hated reading tuba parts. There should be a law against notes being that far under the staff.Because I play in a community concert band, I sometimes hafta read tuba parts. They're written where they sound whereas string bass parts are written an octave higher than they sound(I have no idea why)*. I'm OK down to (written) Bb-2 ledger lines and a space below the staff-after that I gotta write in the name of the note. EDIT And, of course, 'think' it up an octave!
* our middle space C would be a tuba's 2 ledger lines below the staff C.
Yes. But once in a while the tuba man has to read a string bass part. I bite my lip as I chuckle.I hated reading tuba parts. There should be a law against notes being that far under the staff.

It's Epi's own T-Bird case, 940ETBCS. It fits like a glove, is very rugged, has ample space around the head, a big compartment for straps, cables and other useful stuff and a very soft, furry interior. And it smells nice too!Congratulations on getting that AND on the case fitting it. Those VPs are long. What case is that? Thx
Congratulations! Beautiful bass. I hope Epiphone will decide to release a left-handed version, but not getting my hopes up at all.I have to apply for membership in this club now!

you'd be surprised....folks playin tuba in Banda ensembles around here are the envy of many a bass player..Tuba man sounds like some kind of superhero. Probably has only two powers - roots and fifths.

the music makes me want to jump off the Golden Gate but check out this guy..I haven't payed close attention, but my recollection is a sound to the effect of blat blat blat (rest), blat blat blat (rest). I will wear my ignorance proudly here.
