That's a P. You are OK.They were recommended on good authority from a member of the collective.
Had them in a J i once had.
And they kick @$$. I'd get them over the Lollars. Not knockin the Lollars at all, but they were to old school for me.
Uh oh, there's a disturbance in the force.

That looks like a really great bass guitar. It's also got a unique wear pattern. Stolen sucks. I'll keep an eye out and let everyone I can think of know to look out for it.I know it's not a 'Bird, or a Gibson, but my beloved Precision was stolen out of my car in front of my house today. Been spamming everywhere I can think of, filed reports, contacted pawn shops and music stores. I can only hope it finds its way back one day. I must give a shout out to Guitar Center, who were able to comb thier system to find the original record of purchase all the way back in '07 and get me the serial number, and flag it nationwide in their stores as stolen.

Here is a link of the show we played this past Saturday. It will be of interest if you you have 40 minutes to kill and like slightly out of tune songs, you've never heard before.
I had a rusty metal guard that I bought here on TB a couple years ago. I installed it on an Epi Bird I used to own. Looked really cool in person. Something like that might work for you?

as much as I try I just cannot get used to the 18V preamp on my Elite J. never really been an active kinda guy....i know there are some great preamps out there but although they sound awesome by themselves, for me, they just don't cut it in a mix....feels like i lose dynamic range on the pliability of the string....the only ones i ever liked were those on Music Man basses.....ripping out the "noiseless" fender pups and preamp and putting in a set of Lollars......we'll see..

I’m not so sure the rusted look is for me, but the pics give me a better sense of what a bronze-ish pickguard would look like against the wood finish. I like.
You could also do [insert metal here*] foil under clear perspex if you wanted something really out of the ordinary.
* not that sort of metal
LOVE Brown Sabbath. They played one of our happy hours a couple of years back. (Cirrus rocks.) You could be right. If so, Cream should work great with brass. And Purple was all over the map.

the music makes me want to jump off the Golden Gate but check out this guy..
I used to get woken up to that blasting from a neighbors car stereo every Saturday morning. Made me hate that music really fast! This was while I was still in high school so around 84’. I would open my window facing their music and blast Metallica or whatever metal or punk I was listening to at the time.
I like what you did there, that is hilarious!So... what’s the best metal for bass?
LMAO!One of the neighbours growing up said to my Dad "I hear your son has a new stereo..."
