I’ve been chosen.
So some ex-GC managers bought what was a really bad music store in Bakersfield and are cleaning it up. It was the type of store that didn’t welcome touching the instruments. Prices were always high. The new guys are liquidating old stock at used prices. I was by there on Saturday and stopped in. It was good to see Gary, the manager, at the counter. I was surprised to see a Goth on the bass wall. Gary got it down, plugged it in and I noodled around for a bit. Nice bass. Much better than the pawn shop Goth with the wonky neck I was never able to get straight and ended up giving away.
It went home with me. I had limited time to spend with it on the weekend, but managed to give it a good cleaning, polish the frets, oil the board, put the Black Beauties that I tried on the ‘15 for a few weeks, roughed-in medium low action, tuned and intonated it. The neck is (thankfully) straight. It plays really well and feels really light.
It’s new, never owned, made in March, 2011 at either DaeWong or Unsung, China. Plastic still on the pick guard and rear cover.
Here’s an initial pic. I’m away from home for work. I’ll complete the setup, remove the plastic and post better pics when I can.

DMN - I frequent many of the instrument stores in the Ventura and Santa Barbara county areas. I'll keep an eye open for it. If you haven't already done so, you might want to look up all the pawn shops in your area (maybe a 10 mile radius) and offer a reward if they should recover it for you.

Oh, jeez. I had a Triple IPA. 10.5%. It was amazing.

Mine for the evening. Picked it up while it was available. It goes in and out of the rotation at the brewery.
If I have occasion to travel to the RI area, I will make a point of giving it a try.
Not sure what you are missing. It is a small craft brewer. They have a few regular lines and other lines that go in and out of rotation. Most of the beers I drink come from brewers that have limited production capacity and so you get beer that goes in and out of rotation. I actually enjoy the various pumpkin beers that show up in the fall.
