Thunderbird Club

Congratulations! I'm not as humble as Jeff, so I say definitely go for the Gator ProGo. If you take the bottom inside cushion out, the Thunderbird fits great. I've been using it for years. And the Gator has way more pocket space than the Mono.

Last one died about four years ago. A nice 32” Sony Trinitron with surprisingly good sound from the built-in speakers. They don’t make ‘em like that any more. I paid like $1000 for it in the late nineties. It was top ‘O the line in its day. Got almost twenty years out of it.
Sounds like an Artisanal SD TV Club aspirant to me... *hint, hint*

Yes, that was close to my method/tact. Ok then, it appears that the new Epi VP is indeed one full inch longer. (don't go there or I'll turn this car around!)

So... it then begs the question - why would Epiphone designing a RI not make it the same? So, it would never be exactly like the original possibily? I know, big difference between CS RI and a $750 bass RI, so that's a given - just seems at least interesting from an instrument producers point of view with CAD everything so any bass should be exactly like every other - Also add in that T-birds are long in general. - Epiphone Design crew; "what'ya say boys - let's make the VP 1" longer - cause we can!
Merica. Bigger is better.

Interesting.

I read they claim a 47” interior dimension. My bass is 47.75”. So maybe with the cushion moved/removed......?
Got a pic showing the bottom where the cushions are rearranged?

Not sure how old that ruler is, but a lot older than the birds!
