Fireflies aka lightening bugs, are among the few things I miss about living in Ohio.
We called them lightning bugs also.

I want an undead monkey. (BANG!)They made them look creepy! I bet a real flying monkey would be pretty cool!
They bother my wife not one whit. That's good to hear - I can't think of a woman I've ever known who didn't have an aversion to spiders.
Trouble? No. It'll just hurt a lot with the artist filling in all that solid color. But it's for the long haul, so if you like it, go for it!View attachment 3426933
Brothers and sisters with tatts, I’m considering this as my first for the right shoulder. Am I asking for trouble with all that black?
beats dealing with these....the other day at the drummer's house up in the mountains..Being truly arachnophobic, I can see Florida would be my undoing. This creeps me out.
Here’s some video from my cover band’s last pub gig. Those are Cobalt flats on the VP. The LED lights seem to cause strobing within iPhone cameras.
I didn’t notice In the moment, but Karen is playing trumpet and tambourine at the same time.

'Another Piece of Meat' is more like it..Did it play Rock You Like a Hurricane?
Epiphone or Gibson? And yes, Bird logo will be imprinted at some point...
I don't think Mick is wearing women's clothes. Although it initially looks like a skirt, rather, I think he is holding one of those furry vests that were fashionable in the 60sRock n Roll is Fashion, plus women's clothes so comfy![]()

Continuing on with my new T-Bird adventures....
I just installed a strap extension, to lengthen my Levis’ padded leather strap. On my 7enders, I use this same strap, maxed out to 51.5 inches, pin to pin.
To get the T-Bird to lay at the same height as the 7enders, the extension maxed out at 56”, which lets the bass fall perfectly for me.
Baby steps...![]()

Fantastic! I do all sorts of styles with my bass teacher and my Thunderbird seems to fit in with all of them. The saga continues....
Now a couple of gigs in with the T-Bird. Biggest surprise: I can play it pretty much all night, where in the past, our sets would compel me to switch from a P with flats to a J with rounds.
This is a 3pc classic rock cover band that does everything from Zep to Rush to Traffic to Small Faces to Neil Young to Gary Wright to ZZ to Bad Co to Pink Floyd. No set list but calling tunes on the fly.
Anyway, I can get a nice wide range of time out of this thing just by moving my plucking fingers over the neck or bridge pup, or anywhere in between. Then there’s the pick for that hard attack.
I always thought the T-Bird would have a baked-in tone, but it is a great shape-shifter.
It’s also very comfortable. I thought the long reach would wear on me like my Thumb, but nope. It’s fine, and the neck is thick enough to suit me. I don’t like super thin necks.
And it’s got a really nice sounding G string, where my 7enders will tend to thin out on that end.
Anyway, very please with this bass. I can see it’s going to get a lot of playing time.![]()
From the photo, it looks like he may have stolen her bra. A little creepy because he is her dad, but it is Mick, so there you have it.Looks like Mick got into Bianca’s closet.

The P1800 is the only 'sports' car I've ever really wanted. Long b4 I saw "The Saint" in reruns. Now I don't think I could get my froggy body into one.I drove one across country once. The hood is so long in front of the car - like a dinner table! So unlike most cars today where the front-end slopes away from your vision. The other car I really like is the Volvo P1800ES. I'd take one over the TR6 because of the transport space. The newer version was ok, but the original had such great style. Never drove one but I'm sure I'd like it having owed a nice '66 122S estate wagon for years.
