I know that @GBassNorth has been talking about various strings of late. I was trying to find the right match for my '64 Embassy which was a little dark sounding. I kept thinking I needed brighter strings than I normally like to give it some brighter life. After a few brighter options and tried some TI Jazz Rounds. They are not bright at all but I always like the thick thumpyness and knew the strong mids would sound good. Boy did it ever. There's enough brightness for a little edge, but the thickness is amazing. Don't think I need to be trying anything else...at least for a while. Just goes to show you at times what you think isn't what you need.
