Thunderbird Club

I have the 3rd, but prefer the 9th. Honestly, it may be because of A Clockwork Orange.

You forgot the 5th Ken, shame on you. Well, you know what i mean.

If you actually read enuff, you'd have seen that many TBird owners also have 7enders-and play them. We just prefer TBirds. Rest assured, you won't be missed. We're ashamed you ever stained one with your fingers.
I would like to think he was just having an off day. He sure ran up the post count.

You know, I dont get on TB very often. Almost never at all. the only time I ever visit the Tbird club is because someone mentioned me and it shows up in my alerts. 3 times I have been mentioned here and 3 times Ive read on the same phukking page some ass hole bashing Fenders.....again!. That is the whole reason I left here in the first place. Imagine the poor bastard that owns a Fender comes in here looking for info on a Tbird because they are interested in buying one and finds the Fender bashing going on. Sale or no sale?. I actually felt ashamed to own mine after hanging out here and sold the phukkin' thing. Hated owning it because it made me feel phoney and pathetic. Im awaiting on the moderator to delete my account for me, nothing more to see here. Some real good genuine dudes here but the ones who promote the consistent bashing should be ashamed of themselves. Check out the Fender Club, Ive never seen that shytt over there. Take care. Moderator do your thing!.

I won’t be calling on any mods, personally. I know you to be a good guy and I seem to remember some very interesting original music coming from you that I enjoyed a great deal. Like I said, I get why you’d be annoyed with some stuff (though most of it is tongue in cheek, I believe) but you may be overreacting more than a little :)

Hope to hear some of your music again at some point and wish you nothing but the best!

I've heard that before, but there's no one central place for that. Plus putting on an album for me is like an event, so it's all good as I do it. Even with the digital listening I do, like on my phone or via my phone at work, I still listen to albums 99% of the time. The only playlists I have are of single artist b-sides. Sugar, The Catherine Wheel, and The Auteurs. I never do any sort of shuffle.
Well, you are missing the joy in it all. It is the thrill of the hunt for information...:roflmao:

I do on occasion listen to whole albums like I used to. But, most of the time I am listening in the car or while I work. For those purposes, I am using streaming as a commercial free "radio" type of function (a function that actually exists on Spotify!). So, if I am looking for familiar, I go with my play list; if I am looking for new variety, I go with one of the "radio stations" I have set up and occasionally mark interesting music that I want to delve further into later.

I personally miss you.

Got my first Gibson Thunderbird a few days ago. It's a 2005 Studio. Weighs in at just a bit over 9 lbs. (9 lbs., 0.4 oz)! Put some GHS Precision Flats on it and it sounds great!

I've been a Fender guy for decades. Still am, but I'm pleasantly surprised with this T-Bird. Looks and sounds great, and is fun to play. Not as uncomfortable as I thought it would be, either. Definitely different than my P's and J's, but I can tell already that I'm really gonna' like it!

It came with the original Gibson case. Never thought to see whether it will fit into any of my gig bags. I'll have to check tomorrow. If it fits in any of them, it'll probably be the ProTech Contego; but I'm not sure if even that one will work. Just going back and forth to practice and jams I prefer a gig bag, but might have to use the case with this one. Anyway, here she is:

Beautiful! Welcome to the club. You’ll see a lot of good natured ribbing about 7enders on here, but a lot of us us also love and play them too. Never can have too many basses.

But I've got a bridge cover so.....
:roflmao:

Yeah the Xtender kinda has it's own thing going on but it's stable so I leave it be. The G tuner looks to have come that way from the factory, and if I haven't noticed it until now, I'm not gonna mess with it
I have given it some thought. And by some I mean very little; so little that if it were less, you would owe me a thought.

The solution is obviously to do a MonoNeon on your bass and the tuners will never bother you again.

Paging, @TBird1958, next time you move the list forward, please float me back into the list (I believe that I'm #731). Time to reclaim my number and show my pride & solidarity with my TB Tbird friends :)
Thanks in advance, o' Queen of ours!

You're there now :)
