Shhh! Not s'posed to notice that.I think you have every color of the spectrum in your shirt in your avatar.
Nah, I have no interest in them. Raw-sounding roundwounds are my bag.

You cats have got to stop with the Cobalts!!! I got rid of my sets because they didn't do anythign for me, but y'all are pushing me near the edge to try them again....
I love em, but if they ain’t for you, they ain’t for you![]()
Dooooooooo, it.
Ain't sayin' they're fer everyone. They give me all the tones I want with a small twist of the tone knob. Thanks again, Jeff!
I like my VM Jag SS more than I thought I would. I wanted a black/ebony Epi EB-0 but none were available-at the time. Tried the Jag and it fit my needs and was "cheap" $185 USD.Some of my favourite bass players play Ps and Js (and some play PJs). I have my one FSO (a Yamaha; those are very under-rated) but I know that Fender/Squier just isn't me. I like my Thunderbird. But I also like my JC, Midtown, and EB-3. My go to bass, when I am not sure what want to play is the JC. And the JC is the one that I get the most compliments on (`cause it ain't the playing); there aren't enough good things to say about it. Just such great low mids. But semi-hollow isn't for everyone.
My teacher plays 7ender/Squier almost exclusively. As he puts it, he is a very conservative player and those are the most conservative basses.
B.S.! It's the other 3 that are 'off'.For the record, it's the G tuner that's crooked, lol!

Liner notes? I really like to know about the production of the album I'm listening to. Where it was recorded, who played on it, etc. You find out some really interesting things in those notes.
Called it!For the record, it's the G tuner that's crooked, lol!

That one is great! I don't know what that finish is, but I like it a lot.
But I've got a bridge cover so.....B.S.! It's the other 3 that are 'off'.![]()

Yeah the Xtender kinda has it's own thing going on but it's stable so I leave it be. The G tuner looks to have come that way from the factory, and if I haven't noticed it until now, I'm not gonna mess with itCalled it!
It looks like the E/D tuner is slightly canted the other direction.
I've heard that before, but there's no one central place for that. Plus putting on an album for me is like an event, so it's all good as I do it. Even with the digital listening I do, like on my phone or via my phone at work, I still listen to albums 99% of the time. The only playlists I have are of single artist b-sides. Sugar, The Catherine Wheel, and The Auteurs. I never do any sort of shuffle. That is what the internet is for...![]()
If you actually read enuff, you'd have seen that many TBird owners also have 7enders-and play them. We just prefer TBirds. Rest assured, you won't be missed. We're ashamed you ever stained one with your fingers. You know, I dont get on TB very often. Almost never at all. the only time I ever visit the Tbird club is because someone mentioned me and it shows up in my alerts. 3 times I have been mentioned here and 3 times Ive read on the same phukking page some ass hole bashing Fenders.....again!. That is the whole reason I left here in the first place. Imagine the poor bastard that owns a Fender comes in here looking for info on a Tbird because they are interested in buying one and finds the Fender bashing going on. Sale or no sale?. I actually felt ashamed to own mine after hanging out here and sold the phukkin' thing. Hated owning it because it made me feel phoney and pathetic. Im awaiting on the moderator to delete my account for me, nothing more to see here. Some real good genuine dudes here but the ones who promote the consistent bashing should be ashamed of themselves. Check out the Fender Club, Ive never seen that shytt over there. Take care. Moderator do your thing!.

Got my first Gibson Thunderbird a few days ago. It's a 2005 Studio. Weighs in at just a bit over 9 lbs. (9 lbs., 0.4 oz)! Put some GHS Precision Flats on it and it sounds great!
I've been a Fender guy for decades. Still am, but I'm pleasantly surprised with this T-Bird. Looks and sounds great, and is fun to play. Not as uncomfortable as I thought it would be, either. Definitely different than my P's and J's, but I can tell already that I'm really gonna' like it!
It came with the original Gibson case. Never thought to see whether it will fit into any of my gig bags. I'll have to check tomorrow. If it fits in any of them, it'll probably be the ProTech Contego; but I'm not sure if even that one will work. Just going back and forth to practice and jams I prefer a gig bag, but might have to use the case with this one. Anyway, here she is:

Narry a J among 'em. He's ok with me, so long as he keeps the salami for lunch.Well I guess, if a guys gotta pee, he's gotta pee!
Some nice lookers in the bunch. But I do detect a bit of compensating going on. Must be TBird NV.
I have a Precision that is going nowhere. Same with the FenderBird. I think he was just having fun messing with us. It not like we can't take it in stride.Funny...and really odd. I remember him as a very cool dude who made really interesting music. Doesn’t seem like one to troll. Not like he’s totally wrong about fender haters here sometimes. The tort thing is beyond tiresome and way too predictable. Still, it’s a rather extreme reaction. Personally, I love Fender basses and was a P bass guy most of my life. I just happen to love T Birds a whole bunch. That’s why they make different colored shirts, I reckon![]()
Lots of colors on one shirt. Problem solved. There are different color shirts???
Lots of things that do not make sense are boy things. Beats me why women put up with us. I am grateful they do.TBH, I think that's a boy thing. The Eroica is the Eroica.
