Bull sharks can go into fresh water.I stay in fresh water. I only have to worry about freighters laden with coal and iron ore. That and oblivious sailboats.

Nah. Needs an SMG.Or much bigger paddle. Good time to have a Glock handy as well.
About to do a trade with a guy. My ‘94 Blues Deluxe amp (which is in need of a new speaker) for his Epi IV T-Bird. Pics of it look great. Said he hardly has played it. He was going to get into a band that just happened to fall through. He’s played guitar for 20 years and now has no need for the bass. He also has a Gator hardshell case which is brand new and fits that bass. Going to speak with him on the phone tomorrow. He was asking $350 for the bass and the case. I asked if he would be down with the previously mentioned trade... he said “yes”. Just wondering if anyone out there has one of these basses and your thoughts about the craftsmanship and playability. This bass has received many positive reviews. Just wanted some TBers input. I understand that this bass is a bit prone to neck dive... but I believe I can remedy that by relocating the strap button. Any input would be greatly appreciated
Well, you are kinda spoiled with that harem...The price is "ok", my best advice is to really try it out, much as I love Thunderbirds, this basic model was difficult for me to get along with - the neck and to a lesser degree the pickups being the issues for me. There are others here that really like these, so my experience may not be typical.
Yeah. Most sharks don’t have the internet or much education. They don’t spend much time in schools.Yeah, but he might not have known that.
Less than me???JJR puts his pants on just like everyone else, but not quite as often.![]()

Vi is my jam.I still use vi. Every day. And you know Macs are BSD now, right?
Isn't there a "Nessie" or "Champ" in Lake Ontario?I stay in fresh water. I only have to worry about freighters laden with coal and iron ore. That and oblivious sailboats.

Vi are ve talking of zis?Vi is my jam.
Such a cute little minion.
I'm so hurt...
Ok, first; PillO, NOT PhillO! I am not a pastry!
Second; some of us used Vi andlikedtolerated it because you could do everything you needed on a minimal keyboard without taking hands away from the home row. And this from someone who was a 3 finger typist until the age of 29...
Third; real scientists don't use Mac.
Fourth; tablets are what you get at the drug store, not the computer store.
But go ahead, be like the teenagers and use a gui. And GET OFF MY LAWN!
Yes I still have Cataldos Bach! Definitely a bass worth getting, mine isn't going anywhere. I have three Bachs at the moment and would definitely snap up another. You should grab it!So another BaCH II just popped up nearby on craigslist, of the honeyburst ones with, I believe, the neck volute and a belly cut. A very good price, fair bit less than the Cherry one. Anyone have thoughts on that run of BaCHs? @godofthunder59 I believe you had @Dadagoboi 's one at some point, either of you have a comment?
Still around, might try and see them 08/17 at a Theater in SLO.Yet another fun band I never got around to seeing live.
Got that.I'm like you. There are times when something sounds great initially. But often when that doesn't happen I do the string rotation thing and other tweeks for tone. As far as comfort goes, I can adjust easily it the sound it right (as in my '76, which is the most uncomfortable and heavy--yet still sounds better than most basses). But I let it ride for a 6 months or a year before concluding this one isn't for me.
I have a '64 Pbass that was great to play, but honky sounding. Had '67 PUs in it and I dropped some '62 Klein's in it and Pyramid flats, and it went from the worst sounding bass to one of the best. I'm so glad I didn't give up on it.

My ignorance of the former enabled my ignorance of the latter...Yeah, but he might not have known that.
To the best of my knowledge, there is no sea monster in L Ontario although some have tried to develop a story of one. Ontario does have a sea monster legend. It is said that the Mussie lives in Muskrat Lake in NE Ontario.Isn't there a "Nessie" or "Champ" in Lake Ontario?![]()
