Too hard, this one.

When something or someone is wrapped up and knit into your psyche to the point they and their art have become a part of your own identity; that it influenced how you came to view the world, it's kind of a disaster to have to see them go.

I'll work it out, and I'm not the only one I'm sure, but it's world-shaking. My kids just aren't going to get it.

I get it.

...I'm stepping through the door...

A couple pictures I would like before committing to it.
I'll get one of the item by tomorrow sometime, I hope, but it's this type:

Love the non-burst natural finish (like this one) the late 70's T-birds had the option to come in.

I'd love to see Gibson or Epiphone (preferably Epiphone) make more of the natural finish ones. I love the look of the natural finish with the chrome hardware. Looks way better than the sunburst and chrome.

Quite bummed about Bowie. He was one of the many artists my dad got me into and still one of my favourites. I can't count how many times we watched The Reality Tour DVD. Station to Station is by far my favourite Bowie album.

According to Rolling Stone and their "favourite deep cuts only hardcore Bowie fans know" or whatever they called it, I'm a "hardcore" fan. But he's got such a huge body of work and there's so much more to it then Let's Dance, Rebel Rebel and Changes. His newer stuff is amazing as well. The Next Day and Reality are as good (maybe better) than any of his '70s work.

I have a friend who is selling a 2013 Gibson 50th Anniversary TBird, it's listed on the gearpage, am I breaking any protocol in supplying the link here? I have no vested interest in it nor will I profit from the sale. Just wanted to give a heads-up should anyone be interested. Will post the link if given the green light.

All good by me!

Gibson never entertained the replica thing like Fender has attempted a few times over the years. I can imagine an authentic reproduction of a '63-'65 with Scotts Badbird bridge upgrade and period appropriate pu's/tuners. Maybe if we all imagine really hard it will magically happen…
