Thunderbird Club

Speaking of cases, does anyone or anywhere make decent soft cases for Tbirds? I picked up one the other day and it had a thick layer of dust all over it. I don't see myself going back to playing my Tbirds anytime soon, and I haven't played either of them since April. My Fenders get all my attention these days.

I'd be interested too. The FenderBird I built doesn't have a bag that fits it properly. My local store has a lot of bags, but none of the fit as it's just a little longer than your average Fender.

Wait a minute, you have two birds and they sit in the closet neglected??

No they're sitting on their stands being neglected. I want gigbags to keep dust off them. We had a great run (from February 2008 to April 2015 the sunburst was my #1) lots of shows, lots of memories but my Fenders just provide the sound I prefer these days but the Tbirds will never leave my possession.

Things change, seasons come and go. They'll see another day. Hey I have a mutt P-Bass and a Japanese Ibby, different flavors.

However at last Fri night's reggae fest, a pretty girl approached me and was admiring my T-bird as it was going into the case. "That bass is beautiful", she said in a dreamy voice... Lol. It's Thunderbird season!

My Thunderbirds are the only bass guitars that anybody ever notices. I have had a Ric, a P, and a number of other bass guitars, but 'Birds get the audience love. You would think somebody might notice an EB-2, but that one never got any attention, even from the inevitable weird guy, let alone girls.

& i'm caught up with the club! haven't gotten notified in the last few days. I heard about Bowie the morning after i got back from visiting my dad in ottawa. Real sad, my best story of him wasn't seeing him live or just on tv, but when i was born, my dad used to play bowie albums while i fell asleep :)

Bowie was one of those guys who made different from mainstream feel amazing. One of a kind! Another 69 years off to his home planet

Women like them - it's simple, Thunderbirds are the SEX!

Wait a minute, ..... pretty girl? ...... Knows what a bass is vs a guitar? ....... Thinks a Thunderbird is beautiful? ........ Has a dreamy voice? ...... And you let that fish off the hook? ..... You do know the difference between catch and release and trophy keeper, right??? ;)

Lol. Being married can (I say CAN) put a crimp on hauling in new trophies. In such case, one appreciates the moment, and lets the bird fly back to her bush, as it were... ;)
