Out playing Sturgis at the moment. We’re doing 17 shows in 10 days...3 shows left!

Took my Cataldo NR41 on the road for the first time. I use it a lot for recording, but never tour with it for some reason...until now! This thing is a beast. Thunderbucker ‘66 pickup. My normal Bassburner strings were a bit too grindy for this gig, so I slapped some Cobalts on and they sound terrific on this bass, I think

Whoever was talking about Cobalt flats having high tension, I checked. Mine are 100-45s, not 105-45s. FWIW.

I have the 100s and to me they go in the direction of TIs. Not like them, but in that direction.

Tore it up across the peninsula yesterday...covered 170 miles in just over an hour.....NO ONE to be seen on the road...Sonoran desert winds brought the temp up to 121....

Finally made it to the Pacific coast which is a nice 67 degrees at 20% percent...much better..
