Maybe one of these days, there will be pictures of it in action. I plan to hide behind it.I’ve played the HOB in San Diego, Anaheim and Hollywood. Are there more in SoCal?
I’d hate to clog things up promoting my own crap, but I would like to meet more members! West coast doesn’t look likely this year, from what I can tell. I’m seeing Indiana, Ohio, Memphis and Texas finishing off August.
I also want to see more pics of Will’s bass!
The bike will do an indicated 170, and would probably be happy doing it all day, provided that the rider stayed in a crouch. Indicated 170 is more like 155, but that's still pretty good. I'm not sure what that would translate to as far as MPG. Probably not as bad as you would think, since it got 16 mpg or so on the track. With the throttle pinned all the time, probably worse than 16 mpg, though.Got it! 125mph doesn't even break a sweat in my Cayenne GTS, could do that all day long if the local law enforcement would let me.
170 mph on the other hand would be pedal to the floor and gas consumption at a rate of about 5mpg, even starting with a full 25 gallon tank I'd need to refill at least once to drive at that speed for an hour. And heaven help you if you hit an armadillo at 170, it'd do some serious damage to the car.
Stay safe and enjoy the trip, we want you all rested up and in good health when you get back.![]()
That's pretty much what everyone here got when we saw your finished and assembled bass. You can't get much more unique than a burgundy mist metallic upright.
I stopped in a dive bar on the way through there. The graffiti in the toilet stall was predictable but amusing.
There's a crossroads in FL, west of Vero Beach, called Yeehaw Junction. The original name was Jackass Junction, where 2 cattle trails crossed. Map makers wouldn't print "Jackass", thus the name change.I stopped in a dive bar on the way through there. The graffiti in the toilet stall was predictable but amusing.
There were some funny names in Ohio when I was a kid, too.

You wouldn't dare!(in other words, when do we see it.?)Maybe one of these days, there will be pictures of it in action. I plan to hide behind it.
It got me thinking about how great it would be to have a doghouse painted that color. You can't get much more unique than a burgundy mist metallic upright.
A few weeks after I win the lottery. You wouldn't dare!(in other words, when do we see it.?)![]()
Thanks GB... as mentioned, no adult supervision round these here parts...great roads to rip it up on and the right provision for over head radar detection....Got it! 125mph doesn't even break a sweat in my Cayenne GTS, could do that all day long if the local law enforcement would let me.

Somebody needs to slap a "batteries not included" sticker on that sign. That's a winner right there.
I had to tighten my truss rod going from RS66 to Cobalts. Have to check on the gauge though.Whoever was talking about Cobalt flats having high tension, I checked. Mine are 100-45s, not 105-45s. FWIW.
Invalid Link RemovedSaw this and thought of @GBassNorth ‘s beach car... a VR6 engine into a Type 3 Notchback. If that works a air cooled flat 6 would be a doddle to put into a Squareback

Maybe this is better for Cali

Now there's a disappointing story.Wikipedia claims French Lick is the 2nd name the area had; "French Lick was originally a French trading post built near a spring and salt lick. A fortified ranger post was established near the springs in 1811. On Johnson's 1837 map of Indiana, the community was known as Salt Spring. The town was founded in 1857"Apr 14, 2016
