I was there for Andrew, tore Miami up pretty good. Leave your Stetson indoors! Thanks. Being a native Miamian, I've been through quite a few. "Gotta know when to fold 'em". [and take yer Thunderbird]

Born and raised in Miami. Post Andrew pics were horrific and it was hard to recognize locations.I was there for Andrew, tore Miami up pretty good. Leave your Stetson indoors!

Woah! Early BC Rich with Hi-As!Spending a lot of the weekend getting better acquainted with this, now that that project is over (for now at least - a little recording may be in the near future). Oh, and diving with some sharks. As you do.
@GonePlaid @Dadagoboi Stay safe!

Nah, I started using the Internet before the web was really a thing. All text-based.
Yeah, back in the early 90s I got access to the internet by being a grad student (at 9600 bps!). The killer app was email; could directly contact professors, other students, administrators, etc. Could browse what little there was on the web with Lynx. Usenet could be odd.Same. Newsgroups were where it was at. It was like the Wild West. Oh, forgot about IRC, but never really got into that.
Thunderbird!
Maybe, but it was probably wrong. No explanation of the blue green with lots of black and an electric blue fringe. That was stoneage Wikipedia. Not sure if there was an entry on THUNDERBIRDS
That is why there is no 62. It was actually zero, when Thunderbirds were on the way but not here yet.Maybe it's time for a new calendar.
Dates BT and AT, 10 x 34 day months, with 25 days of intercalary Bird festivals.
Quick visit to north Georgia with Thunderbirds safely along for the journey seems like a decent option.water, batteries and SPAM...
That one caught my eye as well. I hope it is as good as it looks once you have a chance to tweak it into playing shape. So I left work early, stopped and bought a bottle of Merlot, and headed home. The wife and son went to the in-laws for the long weekend. Could be trouble. I stayed behind to babysit the dogs, aka “the boys,” and “get some things done.” Fed the boys, poured a glass, and settled down to play with basses and watch the Dodger game. Hmmm. I wonder what’s going on with that Epi IV Pelham Blue Tbird I’ve been watching for some weeks now? Still there. Rut roh. Poured another glass. Well, ***. Pulled the trigger. Waiting for confirmation. Reverb now shows it as sold. Sure, I probably paid too much. It’s only money. I’m not getting any younger. It does come with a hard case of some sort, so that’s a plus.
If it all works out, it will be the first bass or guitar I’ve ever bought without seeing and playing it first. But I love blue basses. Pelham, LPB, Daphne...It’s a fetish I guess. If it all works out, I’ll post pics. I have dreams. Chrome Dreams to be precise. I have the nice Goth I got a few months back and I want this one to be way different. And when the VP NR finally comes out, it will have a loving sibling.
Disclaimer: I won’t consider it mine until it’s here and it chooses me. It needs to fly from NY to Cali.
Anyway, here’s s a pic from Reverb:

Nice! Indeed, time passes by and you could do a lot worse than buying basses. So I left work early, stopped and bought a bottle of Merlot, and headed home. THIS would be my plan.Quick visit to north Georgia with Thunderbirds safely along for the journey seems like a decent option.
Very cool. That drawing says a whole lot. The 8 tube type was pretty standard since they were designed during the notorious “Current Wars” between Edison and Tesla. Depending on the tube fiilamebt wiring, the radios could run on AC or DC (some northeast metropolitan areas still ran on DC mains) and that configuration remained for some time after AC was fully adopted.Sincere thanks to all who replied about my old radio, especially Chucky. I greatly appreciate the information. I visited an antique radio forum and received some good suggestions, but could not get the pictures from my phone to load. I took a closer look at the chassis and interior. Needs a good cleaning. I plan to clean it up and see if I can get it working. Here are a couple of pics. Have a great weekend everyone.
I love it! I have always loved blue as well. Had a gorgeous G&L Blueburst. If only one could get a blueburst on a Thunderbird! So I left work early, stopped and bought a bottle of Merlot, and headed home. The wife and son went to the in-laws for the long weekend. Aaaaa yeah. That would indeed not be me! I got kicked out for unresolved aggression issues and abusing people with my Thunderbird!@dagrev Was reading a post on Facebook and they were discussing good bands in Kentucky. Uncle Jack was mentioned as one of the good ones. That is your band isn't it?
Here's a pretty nifty weather map with tons of info, neat graphics and handy links...
Windy as forecasted
To all our USA southeastern seaboard THUNDERBIRD clan potentially in harms way, stay safe and stay dry.

I don't recall hearing of them before.
Watched it for weeks. They lowered the price and I got way interested. Feeling pretty good about it. The shop’s info says they're also the home office of Babicz Full Contact Hardware and Babicz Guitars. Listed as near mint. That one caught my eye as well. I hope it is as good as it looks once you have a chance to tweak it into playing shape.
