Thunderbird Club

Ok... I must say I’m not familiar with that phrase. Mind you, from context I think it isn’t a positive suggestion

I prefer the grittier, less polished sound of Crobot to Rival Sons. I like RS and have a few discs from them, but they seem too polished and over-produced now. A few interviews I have read make them seem a bit pretentious now. Maybe its just me??

It's the setback of the week, otherwise known as Murphy's Immutable Law of Probability -- everything that can go wrong will go wrong. I was paranoid about flying to NZ because we'd had something go right for us (finding our stand-in drummer in the family). Looks like Murphy isn't going to kill me ... because she's having too much fun.

Seriously, I could be walking across an open field and have a grand piano fall on me out of the sky. Wouldn't be a Thunderbird at least.
Hopefully not an Acme grand piano. Seriously, hope thing happen in a big way for you. Keep plugging and don’t give up.
As Leslie Nielsen said. “We’re all counting on you”.

So Tuesday begins with T, right?
THUNDERBIRD!

Nah. It’s the Epi I got two weeks ago. The latest Subie was in March (don’t think I said anything about the car; I just lease ‘em these days and turn them in every two years. Don’t get too excited about cars anymore. It’s Subie #5. Highly recommended).

I learned from the master. Note to self; when mods are done, get JJR out here to take proper photos of one of the most beautiful Epi THUNDERBIRDS on the planet.

 Hah! So you did! In fact, I didn't look closely enough to see who was posting and thought it was Mark showing off a new Subie and bass! The power of a familiarly framed pic to lead my mind astray!

Gosh, I really like that blue/black/white color scheme.
Is that stock?
Yep. Limited edition 2007 MIK Custom Shop, whatever that means. It is a truly remarkable bass. It was a case queen, rolled fretboard, smooth feet ends and so nice to play. Whoever owned it didn’t put a scratch on it. Sometimes it’s good to be lucky and lucky to be good. I feel a bit guilty about the deal I got. That will pass. I am now the proud owner of a marvelous Gibson ‘15, a beautiful ‘13 Goth and this. Life is good.
