Wow. You’re good. Thanks. I would so love to buy that. But a new bass isn’t in the cards, at least until sometime next year. Kind of bleeding cash at the moment. I haven’t shared this, but my beloved mother-in-law (and I mean that sincerely, she was absolutely wonderful) passed away a few days ago so we’re dealing with some unexpected grief and expenses.

Condolences my tb friend.

I have an old Behringer V-Amp I like for that. This has reminded me I need to dig it out. Used to use it a lot in the living room. It has some nice guitar and efx models.

I have given considerable thought to the problem of travel with a bass. I expect that in the next year my business travel will again ramp up. Traveling for a day or so, I don't worry, but there are many occasions when I will be away for a week and I dedicated a great deal of thought to how to maintain some practice while traveling. Small amps, headphone amps, short scale etc. Then I had a realization. There are music stores everywhere and the vast majority of them do rentals. I just need to talk to the concierge before I depart and I can have a bass and small amp waiting for me when I arrive and just leave it there when I go.

I have never found a satisfactory answer for when I'm away. Maybe go to local music store and play Megadeath riffs on guitar over and over. Oh wait, there will be three other teens and on older guy doing that already regardless of town.

So sorry to read this.

I usually bring a bass and my M-audio USB interface when I’m travelling. (By road) That way I can play along with stuff on the laptop.

That was the original idea I think. Billy Sheehan had to do with its design, if I'm not mistaken anyway. He'd added a sidewinder type humbucker right up at the neck of his Fender P (like an EB-0) and routed that signal to its own amp/cab, or something like that, to get a more present low-end... then the Model One happened.
he also had his neck scalloped and had each pup wired to it's own jack (stereo with two cords instead of a Y cord)...
I could be wrong (and with all due respect) but I believe the Model 1 was around before Sheehan..

Sorry to hear that man. Take care of yourself and your loved ones - keep hydrated.

Maybe I have it confused with the "Will Power" model, which is pretty much the same pickup, I think the dimensions are a little different.

Yeah I think you're right... lol, I had one when I had my EB-0, way before Billy Sheehan was news.
Doh! Thanks for catching that.

Are fireworks part of Halloween festivities where you guys live?
Just curious. They are in Vancouver.
There’s not in the rest of the country but because of the large Mexican population here and the date being so close to the Nov 1st Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebrations you see loads of fireworks this time of year..
