Thunderbird Club

So on this baby blue goth project, seller says the pickup routes were enlarged to fit Gibson rather than Epi Tbird pickups - anyone happen to know the Gibson measurements? Just wondering what will fit without routing, though I'm willing to practice my routing on this project.
Try these out:
Never mind the phone in the picture, my three y/o had to next to me.

I agree with you 100%
I'm in a several clubs but only three or four including The Spector Club. i quickly found that there is no way for me to keep up overe there though. The two best clubs on TB imho are Spector and here. Everyone is welcoming and non confrontational. As a newer bass player I very much appreciate the welcoming attitude this club expresses. Long live the Queen!

Me too...

I'm also a member of a couple of other clubs here on TB (The Official Fender Precision Bass Club, Fender Blacktop Club, Gibson Club, Epiphone Club and the "I own a Harley Benton Club"), and all of these except the Harley Benton Club are pretty silent with only new comments once in a while.

The Harley Benton Club is pretty small with only 40 members so far - But they are very positive and talkative as well, and do a lot of modding on their basses...

But there is no doubt about it: The Thunderbird Club is hands down the best and most fun to read Club here on TB... I love how nothing is sacred and not limited to only Thunderbirds - Not forgetting the general tone, it's pretty much like we're one big family around here... :)

Yeah, will probably also change the control layout. VVT doesn't really do it for me. Thinking about replacing the tone knob with a rotary control for pickup selection and maybe series/parallel.
Mine started life as a Pro IV, so it had four control knobs and no switch. It currently has three and a switch and some kind of intermittent wiring issue in the jack. It has been sadly neglected lately, though. One of these years I'll get around to rewiring it again. For the time being, the other three 'Birds are getting flogged regularly. I just don't have much reason to play a fretless BG these days. The upright gets a lot of work, and takes up all the fretless time.

I'm more used to the 4001/4003 layout as far as controls.... though admittedly I don't really use tone knobs in general.
