Thunderbird Club

Dylan, that one's an Orville that's been refinned and made to look like a '63, IIRC the bridge is from Tone Pros and the tailpiece was done by one of the guys from LBO, custom painted by HMR guitars, I got from Curt Traynor also from LBO, who is an absolute monster player and a really nice.

Here's Curt with his Who tribute band just tearing it up....Note that rig!

Cool, but slightly chaotic.. :)

What strikes me though, is how the guitar player with 3 full stacks of Hiwatt/Marshalls and a Les Paul, actually manages to make it sound like a Telecaster being farted out through a Fender Reverb combo... :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

That's a local band here in southeastern lower Michigan, a.k.a. Metro Detroit. He puts on a very convincing Ox!

Haha yeah. Band is on point. Vocalist totally hits Daltrey, but their Pete is like some shoegazer in a janitor suit(I know Pete wore those). I mean the original struck a loud but simple chord and acted like he just climbed Mt. Everest. That's big part of what The Who are/were. The lethargic Ox on one stage end with his flying fingers and the energetic Pete with his ultimate rhythm playing and stage antics.

Think maybe I'll put some Peavey T-40 pickups in it, Thunderbird-40, anyone? :D
So on this baby blue goth project, seller says the pickup routes were enlarged to fit Gibson rather than Epi Tbird pickups - anyone happen to know the Gibson measurements? Just wondering what will fit without routing, though I'm willing to practice my routing on this project.
