A large amount of diagnostic lab work is heavily automated - very few pap smears are read by a human. They are machine read and anomalies are kicked out for human evaluation. Conversely, x-ray, CT, MRI, U/S imaging is always read by a radiologist. And for reasons human and billing, you will never see a clean report - the radiologist will always find something.

Hey folks. I'm thinking about putting the Hipshot bridge on my Epi Classic Pro. I have a brand new set of DR Hi Beams on it now. Do I have to replace the strings?

I don't think there's a drastic difference between the ball anchor point on the three point vs the Hipshot. So as long as you currently have three or four wraps around the tuner posts you should be good to go with the Hipshot.
I am interested in efficiency, so if it were me (and it has been in the past), I would install it when I am doing a string change anyway. But I also know the anticipation of having something ready to go and not doing something with it.

Well the bridge is ordered, and strings last me forever ( I am from the Joe Osborn school of string thinking ). In other words, I play them until they are dead - and then I keep on playing them.
New owner of a Epiphone Classic IV. Considering straplocks. I'm concerned about replacing the original strap button that's screwed in through the neck plate.
I'm wondering if the strap button screw that would be supplied with the strap lock would be a different length and/or diameter. If the diameter is larger, would it fit through the existing hole in the neck plate? And would a different screw effect the integrity of the neck attachment. Looking for anyone with experience adding a straplock at the neck plate.

Whenever I install strap locks, I try to use the screw that was holding the original strap button in place.
